Chapter Six
Zayn's P.O.V.
"What happened next?!" Louis cried, invested in Harry and Liam's shared tale.
"Ahh, my friend," Harry spoke confidently. "You will have to contain your excitement, for this story must be put on hold!"
"Aww," Niall, Louis and I grumbled. None of us had had any idea that there were problems between Harry and Liam, and now that they were revealing this immense secret, we could hardly contain our curiosity.
"So what now?" I queried.
Harry and Liam pulled to the side and whispered to each other, gesturing openly. At one point, Harry clenched his fists tight so his knuckles turned white. I had seen him do this many times in the past - curiously, only when he talked to Liam.
Finally, after what had felt like forever, the two returned to their seats. Harry nodded to Liam, who nodded back and turned to face us.
"I'll go first," he volunteered.

The tension was built so high, it was painful. I think Liam was secretly enjoying the power.
When Louis seemed close to screaming, a string of words tumbled from Liam's mouth, "I am a werewolf."
By this time, I was only mildly surprised by this revelation. Since discovering one of my best friends was a wizard and another was DEAD, I had begun to develop an immunity to this paranormal investigation. It didn't take long for Niall and Louis' interrogation to begin.
"What do you look like in your werewolf form?" Niall asked.
"Kinda like a tall, furry guy with sharp claws and teeth and glowing orange eyes," answered Liam.
"Can you sh--" Louis began but was quickly cut off.
"I can't show you," Liam snapped. When he spoke next, his voice was softer. "I'm sorry. My werewolf powers make me edgy and snappy - but that's not why I can't show you.
"When you grow in height and grow long claws and teeth, there is an element of pain," Liam continued, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "OK, pain doesn't cut it. More like gut-wrenching agony!"
They were quiet for a moment, before I tentatively asked a question, "What other werewolf traits do you have?"
"Well, other than my snappiness, I have slightly heightened jealousy, sadness - basically every negative emotion. And I have slightly more... uh... 'manly needs' to fulfil. I also can only eat meat--"
"Hold on," Niall stopped him. "I've seen you eat other foods."
Liam nodded sadly. "I eat them... and then I puke them up later. If I don't, with vegetables, I get diarrhea. If it's sugar, I could become seriously ill - SERIOUSLY ill."
We each exchanged worried glances before Liam continued.
"Also, I get a little crazy around a full moon - I can just about control that - and I can change whenever I like, but I must stay a werewolf for at least an hour before changing back. Afterwards, I am exhausted."
We all nodded understandably and Liam took a long sip from his coffee. When he was done, he slapped it down onto the table and pointed to Harry. We all turned our attention to him and he sat forward, his hands together and a cheeky smile plastered on his face.
"Right," he began, addressing us all. "What creature do werewolves hate?"
A/N I'm really enjoying writing this. It's like a salvation from the ravages of life, I must say.
