Chapter Twenty-Two
Harry's P.O.V.
"Stop! Stop!"
I reached outwards and outwards, the fast disappearing voice in the back of my head steadily rising in panic and desperation.
"Stop! Stop!"
I felt hypnotized by the hot swirling mass inside the great, bulging volcano.
"Stop! Stop!"
That was when I faultered. I was inches from making first contact and being sucked in, but the voice became louder and louder.
"Stop! Stop! STOP!"
At the loudest, desperate shriek, I jumped backwards, my eyes wide with fear. What had come over me? Was it just me? Some sort of death wish or lingering insanity? Or was it a spell?
Either way, I knew I had to get out of there.
Fear bubbling up inside me, I gripped the drawstring bag and scrambled down the side of the erupting mountain. My movements were quick and clumsy, making me trip, slip and fall multiple times, giving me cuts and bruises all over my body.
Eventually, I was just on the edge of where the majority of the eruption was taking place, so I stopped to untangle my thoughts and work out how to get out of there.
What did Louis do? He gave me something, and I had to say something. A particular item with a certain word.
Then it hit me. My eyes widened in panic when I reached my hand up to my neck and felt nothing. The necklace was gone!
My rising fear began to mingle with panic as I whirled around and began scanning the desolate rocks before me. I used my vampiric heightened sight to locate the shiny jewel. There! It was right on the edge of the top, looking like one small jolt would make it slip.
Without thinking, I began tearing up the volcano, back to the monstrous lava, never taking my eyes off the necklace. I could feel myself moving faster and faster until I could hardly control my speed.
I stopped dead when I reached the top. It was like everything had paused. Silence fell once more and the slow motion returned.
Before I was taken over by this feeling of utter uncontrolability, I continued to run for the necklace. I reached out, fear causing my hands to shake even more.
But, at the last moment, tragedy struck. The volcano shook roughly, which dislodged the necklace. I watched it roll away from my outstretched hand and slowly drop towards the lava. I felt completely useless.
I had lost the necklace. How would I get back? I had failed Liam, Niall, Louis and Zayn - and not to mention all our fans! They'd have to announce the disappearence of Harry Edward Styles eventually. And the band couldn't continue without a member.
This was the end of me. This was the end of One Direction.

Louis' P.O.V.
I had just sat down on the couch beside 'Harry' and taken a sip of my coffee when a yawning Liam and a stretching Niall sauntered in from the bedroom area. They grumbled a 'goodmorning' and virtually collapsed onto the other plush chairs in the room.
I smirked cheekily. "I see somebody slept well," I quipped sarcastically, winking. Niall rolled his eyes and Liam raised his middle finger at me. I mimed shock and gasped loudly.
"How are you this morning, Harry?" asked Niall.
I held my breath as 'Harry' answered, "I'm good, you?"
I breathed out heavily in relief, drawing questioning looks from Liam and Niall.
"What's with the heavy breathing, Lou?" asked Liam. "Fed up of Niall and Harry's short-lived conversation?"
"Oh, uh... nothing," I stuttered, shrugging and smiling. They both watched me closely once more before looking away. I had to be more careful.
