Chapter Twenty-Three
The rest of the day was perfectly fine (well, apart from a couple of hiccups here and there, such as 'Harry''s staring off into space and my nervous ramblings every now and then, but I'm pretty sure they don't suspect anything... at least, I hope they don't. Especially Lena).
It was basically a day like any other. We made our way to the next concert area and now we were about a day away.
I was so worried about Harry. Was his trip successful? Maybe he was on his way back now. I don't think 'Harry' would be able to fill in for him at the show; his emotions would run so high that he would probably become too weak to continue.
That night, after dinner, I went to bed early. Butterflies swirled in my stomach as I tossed and turned rapidly. I eventually dozed off but my sleep was repetatively interrupted by my nerves. Come on, Harry, I thought. Where are you?

Harry's P.O.V.
Time was still. Everything seemed to have frozen - except me. Well, technically, everything WAS still moving, but only very slowly. I was using my super vampire speed. I can only use it very rarely, but this was an emergency; if I didn't use it, I would probably be burnt to oblivion!
When I got right to the edge of the lava lake, I saw my necklace, deadly still. The chain was mere millimetres from the liquid rock that would immediately melt and destroy my only hope of getting home.
Not wasting another second, I snatched up my ticket back as time slowly sped up. Rocks started to fall and the lava continued to swirl. My life was in major risk as I gripped the drawstring bag, lifted the pendant to my lips and whispered one single word to get me out of danger.
"Home."

Louis' P.O.V.
I gave up on sleep and joined 'Harry' in the living area. We chatted for a while as the sun rose over the horizon. During our conversation, I devised that, best case scenario, 'Harry' would survive this next day. After that he would dissolve into the puddle again.
I was a powerful wizard - close to Merlin status, I'd say - but I can't create life out of water that would last long. In all fairness, no magical creatures could. Magic didn't work like that... unfortunately.
It was weird, having magic. Only a select few had it: a maximum of ten people in the world at one time. And there are so many stereotypes that are just not true but nobody knows it. You get the gift, sure, but you have to learn to control it, else it takes over you. Magic is strong and fights to control your body. Many before me had lost that fight and ended up being executed for their magical crimes. By that time there was only a fraction of themself left.
I was lucky. I almost lost the fight, but a white witch visited me and helped me push the magic back. It's strong, but, for the moment, I'm stronger.
I just don't know how long that will last.
I was deep in this thought. So deep, in fact, that I had tuned out from what 'Harry' was saying. I shook my head to get myself out of the daze and opened my mouth to speak, but was quickly cut off by a blinding light before the two of us.
And then, before I could stop myself, two regretable words tumbled from my mouth, "Harry's back!"
A/N Had to rush this chapter a little as it almost wasn't finished. Sorry if it's not as good as usual!
I have so many ideas for this book, but it's so hard to remember them all! I should probably write them down...
Anyway, hope you enjoyed and see you next Saturday!
