I open my eyes and see a blinding light. Looking around the room I relies I'm in the nurses office. The white walls and white cabinets are so bright. Seriously would a touch of grey kill you? Apparently. I close my eyes again as I hear a voice arguing, "- I understand that you don't have much money but this girl needs to go to a hospital." I open my eyes slightly and see Nurse Nancy talking on the phone. Oh no. "She has an extremely high temperature and," she pauses listening. "Well if that is what you believe to be best I'll keep her here until you arrive ... Yes see you then ... goodbye."She puts down the phone and turns to look at me. "Oh! You're awake I didn't expect you to wake up," Nurse Nancy exclaims. "Well I am, can I go back to class now?" "I'm sorry Miss Winters, but you have a fever of 104 degrees and you passed out in the middle of class. You have to be sent home" She replies. "Then can I at least walk back?" I ask sighing. "Absolutely not, young lady!" Nurse Nancy exclaims, standing up.
"Now I need to go tell Coach Mindez you're awake. Stay put!" she says. She leaves the room and closes the door. I hear her footsteps get fainter until I can't hear her any more. Mistake number one, never leave me alone after telling me to stay put.
I stand up and walk over to the door. Opening it as quietly as possible I sneak out of her office into the hallway. Looking at the clock I see it says 3:30, school gets out in thirty minute. I hear the front doors open and someone talking to themselves. "When I get my hands on that girl. She will wish she had never been born!" Mrs. Black comes into view. I back into the corner and the shadows wrap around me to hide me from her. Once I know she's gone, the shadows retreat back. I run to the door and leave.
I'm only wearing my thin long sleeve grey shirt and my black shorts and white socks. I take off running into the forest that surrounds the town. How did Courtney know my actual name? On all of my records in this world my name is Rose Winters. The only way is if she was from ... no that can't be.
My head begins to pound again and I stop running. What is happening to me? I look around and I see that I'm beside the frozen lake in the forest. This is where I practice on weekends and where I go to relax. I sit down against a tree and close my eyes. Sleep soon overcomes me.
I open my eyes and see that I'm in the throne room of a castle. The wall are solid black and spikes are everywhere. Tapestries that hang down from the ceiling are burnt and in tatters. There is a man sitting on the throne. He is covered from head to toe in armor. All black and, very much like the castle, gives off a threatening feel.
There is also someone kneeling at his feet. "M-m-my lord," the servant stutters, "your daughter has been found." "Don't call that disappointment my daughter!" The man bellows. "O-of course sir." The man says. "Go tell the men to find Bradley King for me. I need a trained assassin," the masked man commands. The scene starts getting blurry and slowly begins to morph into something else.
By the time the picture has become legible, I see that I'm now in a dungeon like room. There is a girl across the room looking at me. She is chained up and has blood all over her. I get up and walk over to her. She only looks up at me and I see her eyes. They shine through the darkness, a bright icy blue.
Suddenly the air around me gets extremely hot and the room and girl disappear as black fire takes their place. It slowly closes in on me. Inside the fire a pair of eyes open. They are a piercing yellow. They glare down at me with pure hate.
To help you understand how scary it is I will say this. Picture your mother glaring at you when you did something very bad. Now multiply that by about one million. Yeah that's sadly still not close to the fear I was feeling.
Then a dragon roar erupts into the air and the eyes, along with the fire, seem to flee in fear. I turn around and see seven hood figures. They all have dragon wings, a tail, and carry the aura of immense power. The middle in solid black.
