"If you're feeling up to it I can show you the rest of the cavern," Kori says to me trying to lighten the mood. "That's sounds nice, I'd love to," I reply. "I will warn you ahead of time that the younglings here are very curious regarding new things so-," Kori begins. "I'm sure they can't be too bad," I say.

"Well we have a few hours before the learning halls release them, so I say we make the most of them," Kori says as I follow her out of the room that I was in. We walk out onto a deck that overlooks any different passages and open spaces. "The creatures that live here are morphers," Kori tells me as we walk down the stairs towards one of the open gathering areas. "What is there primary animal?" I ask.

"A mouse," she replies as we enter the clearing full of shorter people. "Hey Delaney," Kori waves to a girl standing at one of the booths. They were selling things, talking, and some were even eating. "It's about lunch time here," Kori explains, "If you're hungry, I could get you something," "No I'm fi-," "Don't you say you're fine honey!" I turn around and see Mrs. Brandywood standing behind a stand with food on it.

"When I was fixing you up, you looked like you hadn't eaten in months! I insist," she says pushing a bowl full of strange looking berries towards me. "Really," I insist right back, "I don't want to be a bother." "Rose, take my word for it, if you don't eat it she will find some way to force feed you," Kori says.

"Speaking from experience?" I ask smirking. "Possibly," she replies smirking back. Mrs. Brandywood looked on and smiled at us. "I take it you two have bonded?" she asks. "You could say that," we say in unison.

"Alright but I will warn you, I haven't been able to stomach a lot of food at once," I say and Mrs. Brandywood nods. I pick up one of the berries and look at it. It is ruby red, with an olive like shape. As soon as I bite into the fruit my taste buds seem to light up. It was like a mixture of mint, chocolate, and vanilla.

I glance down at the bowl and, throwing caution to the wind, I begin to devour the entire bowl of fruit. "This is amazing," I say in between bites. I hear laughter and look up. Mrs. Brandywood is laughing as is Kori.

"Kori had almost the exact reaction," Mrs. Brandywood says smiling. "Thank you," I reply pushing the bowl back towards her. "You can have some more if you want," Mrs. Brandywood says. "I shouldn't," I reply. "Are we really going to repeat what we just went through?" Mrs. Brandywood asks.

"I guess you could call me stubborn," I say. "You don't say?" Kori replies grabbing a bowl and beginning to eat. She grabs another bowl and pushes it towards me. "Fine." I relent once more.

Leo

I wake up and immediately begin coughing. Water that enter my lungs when I started to drown spills out of my mouth. I try to push myself up but find it is difficult to move. I open my eyes and see that I'm in some sort of bubble. I press my hand against the edge and peer out.

There is an underwater city. Though made completely out of coral and rocks, the city seems to glow and has a bit of an eerie feel. A strange looking fish person swims up to my bubble and pulls me out. Quickly slamming something onto my face that will allow me to breath, I assume.

Testing the contraption, I sigh in relief. Wait till Paige sees this ... crud. Paige! "Where's my friend?" I ask. And the merman looks at me. "With our leader, your friend is," he responds in a scratchy voice. He leads me through the city and to where Paige is I hope.

"Leo Storms, how dare you leave me to be the one to tell Lizzy if you had died!" Paige exclaims. "Nice to see you to Paige," I reply smiling. We hear laughing and turn around. Their leader looks on in amusement. "Act like my children, you do," she laughs, instead of the normal scratchy voice that the others have she sounds older with a hint of wear.
