(A/n: The song above gives the scene with the portal more effect. I would recommend starting it when you reach the part that the wind begins picking up. Can we try to shoot for 3-5 votes this chapter please. Also just for information, nocturnus means night terrors.  )

   Lizzy

"You okay," I ask Rose fully knowing the answer. "Yeah," she whispers weakly. "No you're not," I respond grabbing her hand and guiding Rose away from everyone. I wrap my arm around her. Once we are further away from the group I kneel down and bring Rose down with me. Pulling her into a hug, I sigh.

As Rose hugs me back. I feel her begin to shake slightly. I rub small circles onto her back and she begins sobbing. I hold her tighter. I feel my shirt begin to get damp from all of her tears. "Just let it out," I whisper. "I'm sorry," Rose whispers.

"You have nothing to be sorry for," I tell her. "Kaveri's right. If you die it will be my fault." "Rose I promise you, even if I'm on the brink of death I won't blame you." I insist and she nods into my shoulder. We just sit there for a while.

Rose begins pulling away and rubbing her eyes. "If I cry anymore, I'll become dehydrated," she whispers cracking a smile. But we both can see the tension and sorrow behind it. "Are you ready to go back?" I ask. "Yeah," We both stand up and go the way we came.

"Where have you guys been?!" Leo comes up looking worried. "Taking care of some things," I respond.

Rose

After my slight meltdown with Lizzy I went a sat down by a tree for the remainder of the time, watching everyone else. I look over to Paige and she is by her things hugging her legs with tear marks on her face. But her eyes are a crystal blue that has been illuminated. The grass around her looks like it's wilting and has a near invisible layer of frost on it. Kaveri who is a ways away. Is sitting on patch of burnt grass with eyes that are a crimson red, glaring at something that is not there. Fire and ice, who would've thought.

Jasmin and Lizzy, are sitting beside Sasha, and Jake who has now woken up and is trying to regain his composer. Jack is over by Jason and Jacob. Leo is sitting by himself looking very trouble. I will talk to him later. Luke is also sitting alone, as is Kori. Kori is staring at the tree line waiting for anything.

"Are you guys ready?" I ask. Everyone looks at me, then begins standing up. "Let's go around the village," I suggest and everyone nods. Once we make it to the water line, I turn to Kori, "Can you ghost over the water to the island?" "No," Kori responds. We all look at her confused.

"Ghosts can't pass through water." Kori states. "I thought ghosts could go through anything," Luke says. "Think of it like this," Kori begins. "Air and wind can pass through tiny holes and cracks in solid objects, correct?" We all nod. But when you're underwater can you feel the wind?" We all shake our heads no. "Exactly, when I'm a ghost I'm air. I can only pass through solid objects. Water is not a solid, nor a gas, understand?"

"You lost me at underwater," Jason says. "You lost me at solid objects," Jacob says. "Ignore them," I state. "I'll use water to carry everyone over," Luke says. "That should work," I state. "Rose, I would evaporate the water," Jake states. "I could take him over," Jacob says. "I can partly control the wind." "Sounds good," I respond. Luke makes a plat form of water. "Hop on," he says and we all cautiously get on.

Luke takes us across the ocean. Jacob and Jake land. "Where's the portal?" Sasha asks. "Should be over there," I reply pointing to a small patch of three trees on the island. We all go over. "Okay, do we have to do something?" "I don't know, we've only left, not gone back in," I respond.

"You mean to tell me, that we walked all the way here, and you don't know how to open the portal?!" Kaveri shrieks. "It can't be that hard, right?" Leo asks. Jake walks to the tree on the left. Placing his hand on it, the tree explodes with fire. We all shield our eyes. "Jake!" Jack cries out. "Guys, it's fine!" Jake replies and we all look and he is standing by the burning tree. But the wood of the tree is not burning.

Jack looks at the tree on the right. He walks up and puts his hand on it. The tree explodes and is lit with blue fire that radiates freezing air. We all look at the tree in the center. I notice a small crescent moon carved into the tree. I look down at my necklace and it matches.

I cautiously make my way towards the center tree. I brush my hand over the engraving. A small burst of black fire shoots out of the crescent. I gulp and fully place my hand on the tree and black fire engulfs the tree.

The wind begins to pick up and dark black clouds spread across the sky. The ocean starts responding to the oncoming storm. The black clouds start to swirl above us. "Rose! What's going on?!" Lizzy calls out. "It's the portal!" Jason responds.

In between the three trees a blue swirl appears and begins widen and grow. The waves crash against the beach, getting bigger and bigger. A bolt of lightning suddenly, strikes the center of the portal. The blue fades into a bright purple. "We need to go now!" Jake calls out. "Ladies first, Jason," Leo calls out. "Then why haven't you gone yet," He calls back.

"Man up, ladies," Lizzy says then jumps in. Jasmine, Kaveri, Paige, and Kori follow. Luke, Leo, and the twins the leave. I see Jake grab Sasha's hand and pull her in along with him. I look back to the shore off the main land. Through the dreary storm, I see a pair of golden eyes glaring at me through the darkness. Nathaniel is standing there. Smirking at me and I freeze.

"Rose, we need to go," Jack yells to me. He looks to the shore and sees Nathaniel. He grabs my hand and I clutch his in return. We both jump into the portal.

Brianna

Nathaniel and I are sitting in the town pub. "Good work Brianna, you have not only proven yourself, but you have also exceeded my expectations." "Thank you, Nathaniel," I say smirking. "What can I get ya' honey," the bar maid asks me. "Water," I reply. "And for you," she asks Nathaniel. "A pint and some information," He replies.

The women casually reaches over and begins making our drinks. "What kind of infermation," she asks. "Seen any teens out of the ordinary come through?" "No, jus' the young lot that live around 'ere," the woman says accent seeping through.

A man suddenly runs in screaming, "There's a huge storm coming this way!" Nathaniel and I immediately turn back to the women, "Nothing out of the ordinary hum?" he asks. "Brianna take care of her then meet me on shore, we don't have long." "Of course Nathaniel," I reply, gripping the hilt of my sword.

The women looks around the bar in panic. It has become empty because peoples rush to get inside before the big 'storm'. "Please don't!" she asks backing up as I jump up onto the bar, pulling put my sword. "Please have mercy!" "Now why would I do that," I reply lifting my sword.

...

"Good job Brianna," Nathaniel says as I meet him on the beach, sheathing my blood stained sword. "Let's be on our way," he says transporting us to the portal.
