Hi, guys! I'm having a really boring day... Anyway, what do you think happened to Ash? What or who must have caused the cuts on his back? And what are they going to do next? Come on, read this chapter and find out!

Okay, that was kind of lame. I mean the last sentence in the last paragraph. I wrote a small song today and I absolutely love the chorus! I'm typing it down here so you can see it and tell me how it is:

Is that music I hear in my e-e-ears?

That's the song that you sang long ago-o-o

I can't believe that's the song that we share toge-e-e-ether and fore-e-e-ever.

SO, HOW DO YOU THINK IT IS! My family likes it, and I think you guys will like it when you hear the tune but I you'll probably hate my voice on video. So, forgive me and tell me how you like the Chorus and please enjoy the story.

Sorry, if I took long.

Ray's Pov

My consciousness arose to the feeling of a blessed warmth, tightly pressed against my own body. I took a deep breath, breathing in the thrill of a deep, feminine yet masculine scent that enveloped my entire being. My arms tightened around the humanoid warmth I was holding; I didn't want to let go of the sweet softness.

My eyes blinked open and for a while, I recognized nothing, unfamiliar sights bombarding me from all angles and causing panic to build in me. I absolutely despised the hysteria I felt at finding myself in alien places and tried to shake it off as much as I could. Gradually, the apprehension died down and the events of the previous night filtered in. My eyes widened, staring down at Ash still sleeping blissfully in my arms.

I shook him by the shoulders, trying to get him to wake. He muttered incoherently and I could catch none of the words that spilled. He seemed to be dreaming; his lips were forming a pout and his fingers were clutching onto my shirt like he was trying to hold me back from moving away.

The corners of my lips twitched, trying to form a genuine smile but they seemed to have forgotten how to. My jaw ached from the pressure applied to thirteen muscles which had not been used to smile for three desolate years. My mother's death ached my heart, ached me deeply and smiling was a constant reminder of her crossing, her smile still embellished in my memory.

I shook him again, harder this time, and he woke up, blinking his eyes sleepily and looking quite adorable indeed. He winced a little, sparing a glance at his handcuffed hand but didn't complain audibly.

"Does it hurt a lot? I'll try to find a way to remove it. I know people in the streets who can help us." Of course, living in the streets would get me some connections if not many.

Ash shook his head. "It's bearable. I don't want you to get into any trouble because of this."

"Well, I don't really like a handcuff scraping off my skin."

"I-I guess."

I shook my head, incredulous at his unease and hesitation to agree with me. He stood up suddenly, seeming to notice embarrassingly the very, very short distance between us. He dragged me up along with him and his eyes were quizzical as he looked me over. They finally turned apologetic and he quickly sat down, prompting me to sit as well. I didn't complain.

We sat in silence for a while, an awkward silence thickening between and around us. I tried to ignore it as questions I couldn't yet find answers to piled up one after the other.

A. How were we going to cut off the handcuffs?

B. How long could we run from the police without getting caught?
