As we fly, I allow myself to feel an emotion I haven't in awhile: happiness. I decide to be in this moment, to experience every detail I can. I gaze in awe at the impeccable beauty of the Enchanted Forest, the night sky and its muilt colored stars, able to shoe when the furthest planet.
Its amazing to let the wonderment of this mystic land fill me. Knowing that this is my kingdom, this unimaginable place is rightfully mine. Light willing, I will rule over Enchantment and its creatures. I will be a graceful queen- or as close to this Grace bull I can get.
I'm ready.
Ready to fight for this land and officially return it to the actual owners, the Elementals. My ancestors created this planet with their power and the strength of others. They've ruled as since the beginning and our abilities have only grown with the generations, its fitting that Enchantment is ours.
Yet again you have proven why you deserve the crown, little wave.
And why's that?
The answer usually comes from within.
I roll my eyes. Typical Zayden.
"Melody!" Kyle hollered.
I blink and come back to reality, "Yeah?"
"We've got company," he glanced behind his shoulder.
I twist my neck around and see the dark cloud has found us. I smirk and shout, "Reason, keep steady."
He snorted and I quickly raise to my feet on his back. I realize that we all still wear the ridiculous coronation gowns and tuxs. I speedily kick off my heels using the tip of my big toe. I toss the shoes in the air and transform them into water. I breathe in and wish to be the girl I was on earth. As I expand the water, staring directly at the black cloud, I say, "Tell Laufeia she is wasting her time. I'm a Gryffindor, I won't back down from a fight, I'll face it eventually. Also, mention her eyebrows 'cause they are not on fleek."
I could sense the deep seated confusion in the cloud. Luckily, my water was the appropriate size and I was able to form a wall. The cloud must have a lower intelligence because it flew into my trap. Acting on impulse, I had the water crush the cloud and sprinkle its remains over the forest.
I mentally search several miles and make sure nothing Dark is on our trail. Satisfied that we're safe, I hop to my previous spot and hug Reason's long neck, stroking his black scales.
"The Elementals are not defeated! My pez espada still a hard ass!" Kyle wore a wicked grin and his brown eyes radiated.
Showing my agreement, I spread my arms behind me and screamed. Not a crazy about-to-be-murdered scream, a let's party scream. Soon, everyone joined us, the shifters were howling and our Creature Warriors making their own sounds of support.
Eventually the noise died but the exuberance still thrumped in our hearts, adrenalin rushing through our blood stream.
Barely even thinking about it, I rub small circles on Reason's scales. How surreal the tiny action seems to be. I noticed, trapped inside my mind, he's a lot nicer. Well, he's not the same jerk I met in that hotel. Reason is making an effort to change and be a better version of what he is.
So, where does that leave us? I can hardly begin to understand my feelings for him. I like him, maybe more than I should, but could I love him is the real question. After seconding thinking myself, I see that I do not love Reason; I cannot love a man I do not know.
