I smile kindly, "You have a beautiful island."
He bows and I take his appearance in. Shiny bald head, deep brown eyes, large build and rather tall. He seems younger than Evelyn but that's how persevered his body has been kept.
A white dragon, the largest by far, zooms into that room. The way she flew had such elegance, her wings didn't keep her in the air, it seemed the air kept her. Her landing next to Juto was surprisingly silent.
I felt the gentle probe from Juto's dragon and allowed her to enter our minds. I am Celia, dragon of Juto. I hope you come to love our island. Her voice was slow but rallied with kindness, I could hear her age and wisdom.
"How could we not?" Kyle grins. I could feel his strong emotion for Celia's ancient voice and I pinched his elbow. Forming a crush on this dragon is not on the agenda.
"Darkness is taking over. Laufeia is working hard to reach out to the leaders of Light, trying to win us over." Juto said, walking down the steps to face me.
I tap my finger on my thigh. Leaders of Light are people like me and Juto, those who hold power and follow grace. "Has anyone switched sides?" I ask.
"Not yet, at least not the leaders themselves."
"There's a great war brewing," I watch his face for any possible reaction.
I only saw fierce determination. "Then a war is what will happen. We pledged ourselves into the service of Light, and therefore the Twelve Elementals. You have our utmost loyalty."
Same for us dragons. The Fire Elementals were murdered and we seek revenge for our fallen royals. Celia said.
Then the doors burst open and a young man came running in, "Father! Darkness is coming, only ten away."
I glance at the tall, dark skinned boy with black eyes. He is extremely handsome with his dread locks and charming smile but his eyes unsettle me. I cock a brow, "Father? You have a son?"
Juto gave me a sly grin, "Youngest of over two hundred." I bite my lip, what a busy man.
Jordan stepped in front of me and crossed his arms. He's grown so much because of his power, Anna has too, it's strange seeing them literally age before my eyes. Jordan stared straight into Juto's sons' eyes, "He's a half demon."
"So his mother is a full blown demon?" Dmitri exclaimed, "You slept with a demon?"
"That woman was certainly interesting," Juto noted. "Son, you are in the presence of Enchantments rightful rulers. Be courteous."
"Oh, right." His cheeks tinted pink as he turned to us, "Larkus, son of Juto leader of Dragon Riders and Arki queen of crazy." He bowed and met each of our gazes. Somewhere behind my shoulder his eyes widened and a pleased smile was on his face.
I could recognize that look anywhere; Larkus just found his Beloved. Grinning, I turn and- Cherry?
"Fuck," she muttered.
Juto and I trade a smirk. He says, "It seems both of our legacies will be intermixed."
I cross my arms and resist an even bigger smirk, "It does."
Fate loves playing games.
"Son?"
Larkus couldn't remove his eyes from Cherry who wouldn't look at him, "F-father?"
"What did you say about Darkness?" Juto asks calmly, as if Darkness came here every day.
This seemed to bring back Larkus, he turned, "Laufeia has sent a few demons here."
