Saying goodbye to Reason and my other Elementals was extremely difficult. Splitting up isn't what I want to do but something I have to do.

Previously we had decided that two weeks was our time limit. Two full weeks then we would take a stand against Laufeia and her forces of Darkness. We had one week to restore order to our individual kingdoms and give our Elementals people their freedom. One solid week. Then we would meet again in Heroics, where our entire army would be. Then another seven days to prepare.

Three days had already flown by in time it took us to get to our destination. Aliyah, Kyle, Seth, Nue, our thunderbirds and I were on a sandy beach, feet away from the waters of the Sea Palace.

A giant turtle, Lindierose, that acted as a boat and lifesaver during storms was trying to aid Kyle, Aliyah and I in our transformation to merpeople.

"Relax, you're too tense." Lindierose said.

This would be so much easier if you'd-

Relax? Nice to see we are on the same page.

Then there was the sweet, but pestering Nue who constantly needed reassurance that I in fact did not require anything to relax me. Though I've noted the change in her and couldn't be more proud of how she is slowly learning how to defend herself. Maybe I can be a good influence.

When I realized this staying on land to become a mermaid thing wasn't working, I turned all my attention and focus to the ocean. I watch the sparkling blue waves calmly find their way to the shore, only to retreat a moment later. I admire the smooth curve of the lapping water and feel that particular draw. I haven't been properly swimming in I don't even know how long. Never been to an ocean this breathtaking. I grin as I stand, the water is once again singing to me in that low lustrous voice it has. I don't bother resisting and, fully clothed, I march into the water.

Once fully submerged, I inhale deeply. Peace, a thing I haven't felt in such a long time now soothes me. I could feel my eyes almost rolling to the back of my head. Knowing I'm absolutely at home, I open all my sense and allow my abilities to reach their maximum. The creatures deep under, the vastness of the ocean, it's endless depth. I feel it's welcoming and know it's all at my disposal. Then the water itself, I could literally feel it's embrace, not merely it's touch on my skin but on my soul, reminding me of a reunion. The ocean belongs to me as I belong to it. I could feel every little current and appreciated the radiant power that flowed between me and the ocean. I let it seep through and soak in every speck of power I could. Not selfishly of course, the water knew what I was doing here and was elated to finally be at my side, helping in any way.

Tilting my head back I allowed the water to do as it wished and aid me. A smile graced my lips as I felt my legs glue together, forming a tail. When the painless transformation was complete, I waved my hand and a mirror appeared in front of me.

I smirked as I stared at my stunning reflection.

My tail was just the color Blet had predicted, a shimmering silvery white. The fin reminded me of an angelfish and as I turned slightly I saw the scales didn't stop at my waist. The scales covered my back and trailed up my neck to the side of my cheek and ended a little past my temples, which looked like makeup. The scales swirled around my arms, like a snake, and stopped on my palms. And I admire the baby blue shell bra that protected my breasts.

A small, stripped crab wrapped itself around my index finger like a ring and starfish the same shade of violet as my eyes rested on my earlobes.

I touch my wild hair and have tight curls make it look presentable.

Kyle let out a loud whistle, "Damn girl. Su belleza siempre le sorprendera mi."

I see both him and Aliyah have transformed also.
