"You look pathetic," The Black Eagle says hauntingly, the disgust in his voice matched his eyes. "Get up and clean yourself off before I reconsider sharing my power with such a weak creature."

Laufeia was crouched on the floor. With hatred, she slowly brought her eyes to glare up at the Black Eagle. She angrily wipes her mouth clean of the drool that was a result of her constant vomiting. It's been weeks since Melody blasted her with that dreaded Spirit. Since she took back her castle. Since the Elementals have been named the Kings and Queens of Enchantment.

Getting the amount of strength to summon the Black Eagle was nearly impossible. Killing the gnome was hard enough, Laufeia thought he would be easy to murder but boy did that little bastard put up quite the fight. Nevertheless, she was able to get the deed done, use his blood to inscribe the Black Eagle's symbol upon the gnome's dead body and tada.

Like magic, the Black Eagle was finally before her, which lead her to believe he had been purposely ignoring her other, less gory, calls. Which pissed her off to no end. When she was running the Light Kingdom he had his blood sacrifices hourly. She showered him in gold and jewels and the chaos he so needed and yet when she fell from glory he could not be bothered to help her when she required it. He was treated above Kings and Gods when he was at her side and this is how he repays her?

"Power? Excuse me if I don't buy that as you ran off right as the battle was beginning to engage in some petty sissy fight with your counterpart." She spat the rest of the saliva out of her mouth and pulled herself together and shakily rose to her full height, her balance dependent on her crookedly placed feet and bad posture.

Her statement angered him as his feathers puff and ruffled all in one motion, "How dare you speak to me in such a tongue!" He struck Laufeia across her face with his clawed foot.

She crashes to the floor, her left cheek now baring three long, ugly slashes that drip blood. This, since it was from such a creature, is sure to remain on her face forever. As a painful memory seized her, Laufeia's body tensed and shook.

It was snowing outside, a blizzard, but the temperatures outside were nothing compared to what it felt like in the cabin. "How dare you do such things in this house!" the woman shrieks, raising her hand once again, "We mustn't do such things! Things that are evil! Things that remind me of him!"

Laufeia, only a child, whimpers, "I'm sorry, mama, but what I can do is beautiful! If only you let me show you-"

"Show me? SHOW ME!" Her foot swung back and smashed into Laufeia's nose, "I told you a thousand times! None of that silly business or else,"

But before anything else could resurface, Laufeia pushed it back to where she kept those memories, in the deepest, darkest part of her brain. Not wanting to be made a fool by this winged bitch, she once again got to her feet, and fixed him with a hard stare, "We were partners! I did everything you asked and more and now you act as if none of it happened."

He was calm as he strode to a nearby tree, and watched as he drains the life out of it to feed himself, "In the end, you failed. You stood no chance against Melody and were foolish to even try. I saw the outcome from the beginning."

"Then why," Laufeia couldn't help the budding frustration she felt, "did you bother coming to me?"

"I haven't seen such a cat fight in eons and I wanted a front row seat. Which I got and that showed me I chose the wrong girl."

He turns to go but Laufeia isn't done. Not by a long shot.

She leaps onto his back and with her nails, dug them into his neck. He lets out a shrill squawk, and aggressively slams them both into the tree who's life force he took. Laufeia was quicker though, and her mouth was on the bleeding wounds her fingers caused, drinking his blood.
