Now that the Reason problem is out of the way, Squishy and I pick up our flight. I call out to Kyle and Aliyah, they leave their battles to continue with our original plan.

But again, before we make it even half way, we hear a long and low whistle.

"Hells, what now?" I groan, tugging on the reins and turning to see where the noise came from

In the distance, I see a wild bear of a man. His long white hair and beard fly freely in the wind, and the gryffin he rides looks equally as menacing. The Dark warriors aim their weapons at him and fearlessly, he uses a trident to knock them all away.

Smiling like a mad woman, the arm disappears from my forearm. I see the red trident tattoo there. I shake my arm and the mighty trident is in my hand. I also see the other gifts the sea God's gave me; the conch shell that will call those to help, and the pearl that takes energy to give lots.

I rose the trident high, scared water shooting from the three tips. "Grandpapa" I shout

I long assumed my grandfather died along side my father. But here he was, soaring into battle.

"Lassie! Good to see ya!"

We flew to each other and once close enough, about a hundred or so yards away, I jumped from my saddle onto Davy's.

I throw myself on my Grandpapa, laughing, "You're not dead!"

"Aye, it'll take more than a wicked immortal to get me. But, your father," suddenly he couldn't speak and I pull back. I see the sorrow in his eyes and wipe the tears.

"He died because of me," I said softly.

He shook his head, "Laufeia killed him. Brave man he was. We had our differences, but he was my son. I never thought he would see the great afterlife before me. But he's here, watching this all." And with heart, he said, "I feel him near. Don't you? I feel him as if he's breathing down my neck. And he's happy. Content. Waiting for us, my dear Melody."

I sniffle, "I try not to feel that,"

He gently tugged my chin up, "Never filter or block your emotions or feelings. Don't ever block what the world wants you to feel. Open yourself. After this is over, we will mourn his loss and give him the burial he deserves. It's okay to feel. For now, let's go get what's our and more importantly, yours."

"Grandpapa, there aren't enough of us. Laufeia went far and wide for her followers. We have heart and spirit and Light but she has the numbers. Things don't look good." I sigh, looking at the battle going on beneath us. Noticing how noble our warriors were fighting.

Then his devious smile sent chills down my spine, "And where do you think I've been all this time? Hiding out? Running from Darkness? Hell nah!" He does three sharp whistles and from over the hills where we came, warriors, beings I couldn't ever find a proper name for, spill out. Just as I'm thinking that's all, a vortex spilts in the sky and even more warriors come flying down. And, just when I think there's no more, I see them climbing out from the sea, to the cliff and onto the battle grounds.

"Grandpapa! Where did you find them all?"

"Well, once you get to be as old as I, and travel, make friends, enemies, and such, favors happen. This is what matters, my Melody. Now, go on. I'll take command out here, with that beautiful Izabelle. Your gonna tell me the story of how you got her off that island and I'll tell you how some equally facisnating stories." With a mischievous wink, Davy tossed me back onto Squishy, hollered and dived down to aid the warriors on foot.

I feel more at ease, knowing too many warriors wouldn't lose their lives today. That my Grandpapa came through and gave them an equal shot at winning the outside battle.
