Bad Timing

Seeing Rose like that made my dead heart shatter, I can still see her crying screaming face in my eyes.

"Your highness" I heard a soft females voice next to me, I looked over and saw Lilly holding out a handkerchief. I wasn't crying, lifted up my arm up to my face and the tops of my fingers felt something wet under my eyes.

"Thank you" I grabbed the handkerchief and whipped under my eyes, I saw a small group of servants standing behind Lilly. "How are you a-alive?" I asked standing up

"We were able to quickly retreat to the forests." Lilly said

"Good" I smiled then handed Lilly back the handkerchief, she took it and bowed.

"We need to go" Sianne said walking over to one of the cars, I nodded, We got in and I started up the car then sped down to road.
We reached the main road and I took a right. I sped as fast as this car could go dogging other cars, We quickly soon got into town and I parked the car in the emergency parking. I saw the black car that Venus and Rose drove away in a few spots from ours.

Sianne and I ran up to the building and the sliding doors opened, I ran to the lady behind the counter with a glass walls reaching up to the roof, there was a circle hole in the glass, "Are un Wolfram trandafir fost pe aici?
sau un Inflorint Zac?" (Has a Rose Wolfram been through here, or a Zac Inflorint?) I asked the woman.

She looked over Sianne and I, we would have been a sight, fancy clothed, covered in dirt and blood "da acest fel" (Yes this way) the women stood up and walked out of the little office, a moment later the two doors beside us opened and the woman waved us in. We followed her down the hall, we stopped in front of a door, and the women opened it.

"Mulțumesc" (Thank you) I smiled and walked into the room. Straight away I saw rose sitting on a chair holding onto her dads hand, he had his eyes closed and had a clip on his finger detecting his heart beats. Venus wasn't in the room.

"Hey" Sianne whispered and walked over to Rose, she stood up and hugged Sianne. I stood at the end of Zac's hospital bed and stayed quiet,

"Hah see you guys did come after all" I heard Venus from behind me

"Not so long after you's left" I said then looked at Rose who was already looking at me. "Dose Veronica know?"

"No, and I don't want her to" Rose said holding onto Zac's hand her eyes where still full of tears, but none fell.

"Im sorry but we have to run some tests, you can stay in the waiting room" a nurse spoke in English but had an Romanian accent, she was standing at the door holding a clipboard.

"Lets go" Venus walked out first

Rose was the last to come, and I stopped her in the hall before we walked into the waiting room.

"What is it?" She asked fiddling with her hands

"Come with me to feed" I lifted up her chin with my fingers.

Rose brushed my fingers away, "I do not need to feed"

"Yes you do" I said grabbing her arm as she walked past me, "Your hunger is showing" I whispered as a nurse walked past.

"No, no thats just my face" Rose ducked her head and walked out into the waiting room.

"Rose" I called out after her but she sat down in between Venus and Sianne.

I sat down across from the girls and we got some stares from other people, but no one said anything.
I looked up as I heard a phone ring, Sianne swiped her large iPhone and said hello.

I could here Veronica on the other end, "Are you okay?" Sianne frowned

"Yes, just wanted to call you guys, Zac isn't answering his phone and I thought something must have been wrong?" Veronica mumbled through the phone.

Rose gave Sianne a look, "No where all good here, just taking a quick break and Ill come over soon, I think Zac's going to stay the night so he can help early morning"

"Thats good and sure sounds like something he'd do, Also Axel says hi"

"Hi" Sianne blushed and smiled, "I gotta go help again, Ill talk soon" Sianne frowned looking at me.

"Okay, cya later chicki" Veronica said then hung up the phone.

"You should go now, it is getting late" Rose smiled

"Ill take her" Venus stood up tucking her hair behind her ear.

Sianne and Rose stood up and hugged each other, then Venus and Sianne left. Rose sat back down and glanced up at me, I couldn't get into her head or read her facial expression.

I stood up and sat down next to Rose, she didn't move as I wrapped my arm around her pulling her close.

"Im so sorry" Rose muttered as tears fell from her eyes.

I pulled her closer, "Its okay Rose, its not your fault"

I felt Rose's hand push on my chest, I loosened my grip around Rose, "But it is all my fault, I was the one who let the human come back, I was the reason we fought against the hunters, I was the reason home blew up, I was the reason for innocent lives to be taken and Im the reason why dads in the hospital"

I whipped my thumb under Rose's eye and the grabbed my hand, "your the reason why we don't have to worry about hunters anymore, your the reason why home looks brand new, you the reason why our child is going to save all of us"

Rose let out a small laugh, "I can't believe mum and dad's faces after Lucy said that."

"And Sianne's" I chuckled

"What should we name her?" Rose asked resting her hand on her stomach

"Her? No it's definitely a boy" I smirked

"A girl" Rose smiled

"How do you know?"

"Throughout all my family's history the first child is always a girl" Rose looked up at me smiling.

"A girl she is then" I said then softly placed my lips on Rose's.
