Kaylin Dark
Barry couldn't feel his legs. When Zoom broke his back, he temporarily lost feeling in his legs. I watched as he wheeled around the Cortex in Dr. Wells' old wheelchair. I sighed, leaning against the doorway of the Cortex. Barry looked up at the sound of me, smiling at the sight of me. "Kaylin, hey. What's up?" he asked.
"What are you doing, Barry?" He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
"I don't understand."
"Why did you go after Zoom? You knew you couldn't stop him. So why did you go after him? He could've killed you," I said.
"But I'm alive," he defended.
"You still could have died, Barry. I can't handle losing anyone. You were stupid to go after Zoom," I told him. He shook his head, pointing a finger at me.
"You died. He killed you, Kaylin!" Barry yelled.
"And you know that I would just come back to life like always! I can't die, Barry! It's apart of this stupid ability from the Particle Accelerator!" I shouted back. I took in a deep breath, calming myself. "Barry, you need to get back on your feet and run."
"You know I can't. It's impossible." I picked up the nearest thing and threw it. The glass shattered into pieces as it hit the wall. Barry's eyes widened.
"Hey, stop throwing things. You're going to hurt someone." I spun around at the sound of the unfamiliar voice. I saw Barry grin, his eyes light up. This man was his world. But who the hell was he?
"What are you doing here?" Barry asked.
"Iris called. She told me about you and Zoom. I think I need to check your injuries," the man explained. I rolled my eyes.
"He's healed. He just won't believe it," I snapped. The man raised an eyebrow at me.
"Who are you?" he asked me. Barry sighed.
"Dad, this is Kaylin Dark. She's a part of the team. Kaylin, this is my dad," Barry explained. I shook his outheld hand.
"Henry Allen," Henry told me. I nodded.
"Nice to meet you. I've heard about you before." They both nodded. "There's no need to check his injuries. He's healed. He just won't believe it," I said, shooting a glare at the young brunet.
"Kaylin-" I cut Barry off.
"If Zoom killed me and I came back to life then I think you're healed. You just don't want to believe it."
"I'm sorry. Killed you?" Henry questioned. I nodded. "How are you still here then?"
"I went to CCU. I-" My eyes widened. "Fuck. CCU. My classes. I totally forgot about them," I said with a groan. Barry chuckled.
"Don't worry. You officially graduated right before the Singularity opened up. No worries." I breathed a sigh of relief. He looked to his father. "And when the Particle Accelerator exploded, some of the energy affected Kaylin, keeping her from dying. How did you get that specific ability?" Barry asked, just realizing it now.
"Eddie was a detective on a murder of a student. I was about to tell him who the murderer was when I was shot. As I was dying the Particle Accelerator exploded, affecting me. But I'm so glad to be out of that hell hole. College was not that fun." Henry chuckled. "I have to go."
"Where?"
"Apartment hunting. I can't live with you forever, can I?" Barry opened his mouth to say something when I cut him off. "No," I said, pointing a finger at me. He cracked a smile as I walked out.
