I opened my eyes and everything flooded back. I was filled with rage! Lucy! Lucy had pushed me of the edge! She had betrayed me! I jumped of the floor and tried to calm down. I eventually took in my surroundings and what I saw completely shocked me. I forgot my anger and my jaw dropped. I was in a room filled with blue pentagons. Everywhere on the walls! The whole room was vibrating! The pentagon in my pocket started shaking violently and it was making my shorts wobble. I looked everywhere and spotted Will lying on the floor.
“Will! Will!” I screamed. I ran over to him and there was a long gash running down his face. He moved and I shook him.
“What? Where am I?” he asked disoriented. He sat up slowly and almost passed out again when he saw the room we were in.
“What happened Alex?” he asked urgently.
“You slipped of the edge! I tried to save you but Lucy pushed me off to!” I said breathlessly. Will cursed.
“So we fell and landed in this room?” he asked. “How is that even possible?” I got up and ran my fingers along the wall. As if on cue the pentagon in my shorts flew out and zoomed across the room to fast for me to react. I ran after it but then I saw something weird. It started to glow as it flew and it went into a gap in the wall. It was as if the gap was meant for it! It went into place and started to shudder and got brighter and brighter. Then pentagons all around the room started to glow and vibrate. I fell on the ground and put my hands over my head. The floor was vibrating. It was like an earthquake! Behind my closed eyes I could see a blue searing light then suddenly everything went still. I opened them again and saw Will standing up gazing at the wall. Or what I thought was the wall. Where the wall once was it was now gone. There was a big black hole replacing it and I could feel wind blowing through.
“Is this the way out?” I wandered a loud.
“I dunno,” Will answered quietly. He took one step and suddenly a huge gust of wind knocked him down. I tried to move but then everything went black. Then an eerie voice echoed in the silence, “Lucy is the traitor, be aware the Lord of Darkness might kill you, things might not be what they seem when things get a little hairy near the beam,” it finished ominously. The room went back to normal.
“Will...I think that was our next clue!” I yelled at him.
“Yes it was and if I’m correct, we must hurry!”
“What do you mean? What did it mean by the beam?” I asked hurriedly. Will was already running through the hole and I ran to catch up to him.
