This is another retarded chapter :)

It’s been two days since we left my brother’s house. We have been wandering through forest again, only this time we’ve met a lot of dangerous animals. Each time, Will protected me showing his deadly skills with his hands. Will seemed to have a purpose when he walked and I wandered where he was leading us. Finally after hours of walking we entered a very large clearing. It was beautiful and the suns seemed to make the grass sparkle. Will chucked everything on the floor and walked into the middle of the field. He then tensed and leaned forward into the stance I had seen him do when fighting.

“I’m going to teach you how to fight,” Will said.

“What? No, no, no, not a good idea,” I said hastily.

“Why not? You have to be able to defend yourself!” he didn’t have to tell me what from. I had always known I would be the one who had to fight The Lord of Destruction but I hadn’t a clue how.

“Come at me,” Will said. I approached him warily.

“Now what?” I said feeling stupid. Will was like a blur, suddenly moving so fast I didn’t see him. Then I was sprawled on my back facing the sky. I got up angrily.

“What was that? How was that fair?” I yelled in frustration.

“First lesson, always be prepared. Your enemy isn’t going to wait to attack,” Will said lending a hand. I took it and he flung me back on the ground.

“Ouch!” I groaned. I could have sworn I heard my back crack. I was so angry now. I got up and Will could see the expression on my face.

“Come on! I’ve seen ants fight better then you!” he roared. Oh, that’s it! I thought furiously. I lunged at him roaring. I took him by surprise and tackled him to the ground. I got up and walked around him.

“Hell yeah!” I yelled in victory. I stupidly turned my back to Will and then it was my turn to get shoved on the ground.

“Second rule, never turn your back on your enemy,” he said whispering in my ear. He was on top of me and was surprisingly heavy.

“Get of off me!” I groaned. He got off my back and got into that stance again. I faced him and we started circling each other. I didn’t take my eyes of him for a second. I was breathing hard and adrenaline was racing through my body. I felt invincible. I had a sudden idea. I backed up towards where I had dropped my things and I swiftly picked up my knife all the while staring at Will. Will’s eyes widened as he realised what I was doing. I swung my knife at him blindly and he jumped back.

“Are you afraid?” I mocked him. I had no idea where this anger was coming from. He shook his head and before my eyes could register it, he was flipping up a tree. Swiftly climbing from branch to branch, he reminded me of a monkey. I had no idea what he was doing. Finally he got to the top and he started to snap of a very large and sturdy branch. He succeeded with a loud snap and then he was flipping back down. He jumped right in front of me with a mischievous grin on his face.

“You want to learn how to fight with a knife?” he asked. I nodded eagerly, quickly wanting to get on with it. Suddenly he lunged at me without any warning and I yelled in surprise. I moved my wrist and my knife blocked the blow. My eyes widened in surprise and I felt a new burst of feeling. Confidence. I was certain I could do this. Will could sense the new energy and he lunged at me again. I jumped backwards and I swiped at him. He blocked it easily. I wasn’t afraid of hurting him, I was afraid of him hurting me! Adrenaline was the only thing that was stopping me from getting hit. I was light on my feet, but so was Will. Whatever I did he blocked. I managed to block most of his blows but his branch did hit me now and then. I was glad it was only a branch and not a real sword! I spun around and lunged at Will, trying to knock the branch out of his hand. To my surprise I succeeded and Will’s branch was spinning in the air towards me. I caught it and now I had my knife and the branch. Will was now weapon less. I smiled at him. Will just stared at me in surprise. I wandered how long it had been since someone had gotten the better of the ‘great Will’. Adrenaline was still coursing through my body and I was wired.

“Whoa, you’re actually really good,” he said not bothering to hide his shock. I suddenly had a really weird feeling and I dropped both weapons, turned around and ran, flipped and landed back on my feet. Where did that come from? I thought bewildered. I felt like I could do anything Will could.

“Can you do that?” I challenged Will. I heard a scoff.

“In my sleep!”

“Do it then,” I said. I watched Will run, flip and land. It looked a lot more graceful and that made me annoyed.

“What about this,” I ran up a tree, yes ran, and did a double flip backwards.

“Are you kidding me? Easy!” he copied me and again it looked more graceful. Will saw the look on my face and he softened.

“I’ve been doing this a lot longer then you,” he said gently. “But your extremely good!” he frowned. “It’s been five years since someone has bested me in a duel, even if I was using a branch,” he seemed troubled by that. “We’ll continue tomorrow,” It was starting to get dark so we built a small fire in the middle of the clearing and I was soon fast asleep.
