I jerked my hand away as soon as we shook once and turned to Madame Pricker."There I met her! Can I go?"
She narrowed her beady eyes as she pushed her way between me and Isabelle Lightwood, "Excuse, Cecily, Isabelle. She is the rebel of this batch of students. And a rude one at that."
She shot me a murderous look as she strolled over to her desk and sat behind the hand crafted wood.
"She's just being herself, couldn't ask anymore then that from someone." Isabelle said as her heels clicked over to the chair that sat in front of the desk.
I couldn't decide if it was a compliment or not so I smirked and snickered, "Good because that's all your going to get from me."
Isabelle smirked but I saw something in those blue eyes. She knew a secret, one that surely destroy my world.
Luckily, I averted my eyes from the women to look at Madame Pricker, "Cecily, come and join us."
She gestured toward the other plush chair that sat next to Isabelle. Being any closer to the women and I think I would be fearing her. "No, I think I'll just go back to class and you know....learn something."
I turned to leave," Cecily, get back over here...."
Her words ended abruptly as the doors swung open, crushing my already injured nose. Falling to the ground I cursed loud enough that America it self could hear. I pinched my nose, "God DAMIT!!!! DOESN'T ANYONE LOOK WHERE THERE GOING ANYMORE?!?"
I got up to stare into another pair of piercing blue eyes. This was a boy about my age with short chocolate brown hair. He was a head taller then I so I titled my head slightly up to look him in the eyes.
He was staring at me, much like the women had been moments ago, but averted his eyes to Madame Pricker and Isabelle. "It seems that two boys have stolen the horses to the carriage."
Isabelle cursed slightly and I caught the word, "angel" in there but she looked to Madame Pricker and asked, "Who do you think could have stolen them?"
Madame Pricker opened her mouth but I spoke first, "Dylan and Allan." They all turned their gazes on me, "They are the only ones with enough guts to even think about stealing something around here, well besides me but..." Madame Pricker narrowed her eyes.
"So, Dylan and Allan, and where would we find them?"
I shrugged tasting the blood in my mouth. I cringed, "How am I suppose to know." I paused, "Now I'm going to the infirmary, AGAIN, to fix this freakin' nose."
"I don't think you will." Isabelle stood, "You and Zane will search for the horses."
"And why should I listen to you?"
"Because I'm the adult and you are but a fragile child."
Clenching my free hand I growled, "Fine, well look for the fucking horses."
Turning on my heels cursing as I left the room. Footsteps followed at a quick pace. "So your Cecily?"
I could see the boy, Zane, out of the corner of my eye beside me,"Yeah so?"
"No reason, I'm Zane."
"Kind of figured, since that weird lady called you Zane."
"Sorry about your nose." I didn't answer and as we walked down a corridor he asked, "So where are we looking first?"
"Well we have to find out where they are and I know exactly who to ask." Stopping at a door I knocked three times.
It opened on its hinges to expose Carter. He leaned against the door frame glancing at Zane but looking back to me, "And what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you Cecily and....." He ran his eyes up and down Zane to finally say in a disgusted tone, "Her Friend."
