People broke from their astonishment while I let the truth sink in.

was an angel.

was an angel.

was an angel.

My mother was jerked away from me as another guard came to unlock the cuffs. A hand hauled me up as I found myself being shown to the crowd like a statue.

My shirt sagged off my body exposing parts of my bra, but I didn't care.

was an angel.

"Our angel...Has arisen!" Sebastian shouted as the crowd roared with applause.

Carter held me by the arm as Sebastian leaned to him whispering something that made him smile.

Soon enough I was being dragged down hallways and up stairs to find the bedroom door I had ruined before. Instantly I snapped into action, jerking my feet to stand still. The cotton feathers slid against my arms.

Carter looked at me with a menacing smile,"Alright, Cecily, we can do this the easy or hard way?"

"None of the above." I said numbly. was an angel. "I won't go in there with you."

"Fine." He moved with speed as I saw his rune glowing even more brightly under his shirt. His strength over took me as I felt him press me up against the wall.

Taking my finger nails I tried to thrash out at him but his hips pressed to mine making his arms pin mine against the wall. I felt my wings painfully jabbing into my back, as he lowered his face and hissed,"I guess well have to do this the hard way."

That's when I felt his lips painfully press to my own  again and the rune on my stomach burn. Even with the little energy I contained, my arms heated and pushed hard against Carter's chest. As he stumbled away from me, I saw the charcoaled skin as my hands had made holes in his shirt. However, the same rune I had drawn on my stomach glowed with a golden light on his chest as if taunting me.

My eyes snapped to his as I began to see the shadows grow into the demons I had grown to fear since I was a small girl. Carter started for me again, only to be met with my fist planted firmly on his nose. The demons clicked their talons as they collected themselves to stand behind Carter like he was their ruler.

My feet retracted backwards a few steps watching as Carter put a hand to his nose drawing it away to see it glisten with blood. He chuckled slightly, "Oh, Cecily," His eyes were charcoal black with no color as he smiled coldly at me, "You shouldn't have done that."

The demons started forward, but he held up his hands. "No, boys! This is between me and the angel."

They let out a snarl of discontent, but I moved back feeling my hands light with their own heat. He came closer, sadly dodging my burning fists where no match as he grabbed my throat. I flung my feet out kicking him in the rib-cage hearing a crack I smiled only to have him smash my head against the wall. Black dots did ballets in my vision, but as he began to drag me closer to the room, I heated my arm to slam my palm against his ear, probably doing perminant damage to his ear drums. This forced him to release me, making my knees slam to the floor while he clutched his ear and rib-cage.

"You little bitch!"

I crawled toward the stairs with the black dots making my vision far too impaired to trust myself to stand let alone run. Unfortunately, I could not escape fast enough as I felt cold hands grip my ankle forcing my arms to go out from under my slamming my elbows to the hardwood and my chin. He began to drag me toward the door forcing me to claw at the floor as if my life depended on it and at that moment it did because as he sucked me into that room and slammed the door shut he grabbed a knife from his back pocket.
