It was if I had just come from that stupid school and now I was destine to go back. I gazed at myself in the mirror, the bruise made my cheekbones look higher and more prominent, the green of my eyes seemed to glisten with concern and determination to get my mother back. And too think I only hated her and my father, no more then a month ago and now I'd put my life down for both of them. Family was a concept I'd never understand.

Handling a knife, I could remember how I stood up too Madame Pricker that day and how sweet little Andrea raised her voice too me.

The smirk slid onto my lips as I straightened my back and gazed into the mirror. Placing the knife on the counter, for weapons were frowned upon when flying, I ruffled my wavy hair and flung my hood up. Crossing the room, there was a knock again at the door.

"Cecily....." It was Zane's voice and I cringed as I opened the window and sat upon the ledge looking down to the ground three stories below. One thing from training, jump, duck and roll. Don't fall on your head again, Cecily.

I looked back to the door as I felt my heart brake. Some how, maybe it was that gut feeling you get, but I knew I wasn't going to return to this place. There was always a sacrifice and my life would be it. My voice cracked as the tears clogged my throat, "G....Good-bye." It was barely a whisper and as I slid from the railing he called out my name once more.

"That will be 700 dollars Miss." The women's voice was all too perky, and I slid her what people considered a credit card which I may have stolen from Simon's apartment when I talked to him last.

She switched some buttons, and gave me that flashy smile of hers and handed the card and ticket over to me. "Have a nice....."

I stormed away from the counter leaving her words unsaid. I was a dead man walking. It wasn't a nice day and it would only get worse.

As I sat in a plastic seat where my gate was in sight, people scrambled past me and I rolled up the sleeve to my shirt. The rune burned at my touch. If only that damn demon hadn't bitten me, this wouldn't happen. Madame Pricker probably would've handed me over to my uncle without lives being taken or my mother being tortured. I would've never met  the people at the Institute and maybe my heart wouldn't ache so badly.

I pressed my forehead against the rune, the tears strained to come and only few passed my eyes and dripped into my lap.

"Flight 26 A is now loading."

I wiped the tears away furiously and could clearly see that it was my flight as an old women argued with the women to let her cat on board with her. Sadly, as I was permitted on board the women glanced at me and her eyes rolled back to be black and she gave me a pointy tooth grin.

I must of gasped or stumbled backward as the women who took my ticket scrambled to my aid.

"Miss are you alright?"

I nodded quickly glancing at the old lady who continued to argue with the women.

"Miss would you like me to help you too your seat?"

I narrowed my eyes as she was persistent to help, so I let her. We board the plane and I helped several struggling passengers load their carry-ons in the above cabinets.

They thanked me and I was on my way, however when I looked down at my ticket I noticed we had passed coach and was in first class.

"Excuse me, but this ticket is coach. Seat 123."

She didn't even bother to turn around as her cheerful tone vanished and she hissed,"Oh dear that must be in correct, Cecily Morgensten deserves only the best."

"Wait...how the hell do you know my name?"

Passengers turned their heads toward me all eyes black endless voids. Demons, all of them! This is just a dream!!! Come on Cecily wake up!!!

I stopped as the women did. She turned slowly on her heels to expose a face colored white and eyes that glowed bright violet. She reminded me of a cartoon character or a....

"A Fairy?"

The voice was only one I had known in dreams and nightmares. It was if hell it self had spoken to me in that moment.

An arm encircled my neck forcing me backwards and into a hard chest. A hand came to move hair away from my ear as the voice hissed,"Hello, Cecily....my beautiful little niece."

All heads snapped to our attention and I noticed men, women and even babies had blackness where eyes should've been. A select few were like the flight attendant, fairies as I would later know.

In one quick moment they joined in an up roar of laughter that melted through my skull and would be heard in my ears until the day I died.

"Just like the children who laughed at you Cecily. So small..." His finger made a line down my neck,"So weak, but so hopeful. Oh what a waste, but you have matured and hope has far from left you, hasn't it?"

I kept silent and made my eyes glaze over gold making demons hiss and the Fairy girl take a few steps back. I tried to jerk away from his grasp, but he was too strong.

"Make one wrong move, Cecily and I will kill your mother along with the rest of people on this plane, hear me? Now.." He threw me against a seat making me hit my head as the flight attendant tightened a seat belt around my hips. "I think our little conversation has long been over due."

He sat down in the seat facing me, looking about as comfortable as you could get. He was surrounded by his kind, why wouldn't he be comfortable?

"You're correct, Cecily."

I kept silent. "These are my kind."

"You can hear my thoughts." I stated in a flat tone.

"Far more then that. I have crept through your thoughts. Just as the Silent Brothers would, its actually very simple."

I kept silent. Jackass.

"Watch your language, Cecily. Hasn't your father taught you better then that?" An evil smile was on his lips. "I suppose not, with you being an orphan for all those years."

He was trying to get a reaction out of me, but I kept my cool.

"But, Andrea made it all less painful for you. Awe what a sweet girl, it was such a heart brake when I ordered that demon to track her down and k...."

I broke. My eyes glazed over gold as I gripped the seat,"You son of a bitch, I hope you burn in..."

A hand clamped over my mouth, but not without a clothe. The fairy women's eyes laughed as she drew the clothe away making my head spin. Darkness was returning as my uncle laughed,"Cecily Morgensten language!"

Just before the waves drowned me in the blackness, I hissed,"I am not a Morgensten."

The picture to the side is what I envisioned the Fairy who kidnaps Cecily would look like (except wearing a flight attendant outfit)  and the song is "Waiting For Superman" by Daughtry is a song I absolutely love and listened too while I was writing the beginning of this chapter and thought captured Cecily's inner feelings about what lies ahead of her, so check it out.
