You were awoken by the noise of your front door glass breaking. You immediately sat up and turned to Ethan. He sat up with you.
"What was that?", he asked.
"I don't know.", you say, lifting up the sheets.
"Where do you think you're going?", he asked, standing with you.
"Baby, I'm not a little girl. You not letting go out there with you, shows me you don't think I'm mature enough.", you say, in a defensive tone.
"Fine.", he says, turning to your nightstand. He looked through and found his gun.
"Woah.", you say. "When the hell did you get that?"
"Doesn't matter. It's for protection and protection only.", he says. You nod and walk through the door behind him.
He points the gun wherever he hears a noise. You breathe heavily and grip his shirt.
Suddenly, someone pulls you back and places something on the side of your head. The guy places his arm your neck. You alarm Ethan and he turns to you.
He points the gun to the man and the man says, "I wouldn't do that pretty boy."
You look down and see your in between the coffee table and the sofa. The man was breathing heavily, so were you. You look down and see an envelope opener. You look up at Ethan who began to sweat.
"What do you want?", Ethan asked. "Money? Jewelry?"
"Your girl.", the man said, kissing your neck.
You make a noise in disgust and strike him with your elbow in the stomach.
He bends forward and so do you. You grab the envelope opener and stab his knee. He screams in pain and falls back. He points the gun to you and Ethan tackles you before he fires.
Ethan runs back to the man, who thought he shot you. The man looked up at Ethan and his widen. Ethan kicked the gun out of the man's reach. You got up and ran to the nearest phone tip call 911.
Ethan places his foot on the man's throat to keep him from moving.
"They're gonna be here any sec.", you say, running back. You hug his waist.
"Shh.", he said, before kissing your forehead, "It'll be okay."
