Eliza, Ethan, Lukas , and Vanessa were all sitting together, side by side. The four of them had been sitting there, talking about the party that was going to happen that night.
"Lukas, are you going tonight?", Ethan asked, as he bent over to make eye contact.
"I mean, yeah, if Eliza wants go," Lukas said while he put his arm around Eliza, she looked up at him and smiled, he looked up at Ethan and mouthed 'I'm definitely going' with his thumb up.
Jason runs in with a football, "Yo, LJ, go long."
"Oh, bet."
Lukas runs off and Jason runs after him, Eliza and Vanessa keep their eye on Jason as he runs off.
"I'm gonna go watch LJ," Eliza said before she walks off.
"i feel like all of us are finding love and you're just...", Ethan said, teasing vanessa.
"Eth, you're a dick, way to rub it in my face...", Vanessa teased back, "You mean to tell me you and Leslie are in love?"
"When are you going to tell Jason you love him?"
"Jason? I don't love Jason? He's my friend, he's your cousin and our friend.", she said using hand gestures to point at herself, then Ethan, then pointing at the group out play football. "Why would you say something like that?"
"Oh please, like you could be anymore in love."
"Ethan shut up, even if i did-"
"I KNEW IT!", he said, grabbing Vanessa shoulders and shaking her abruptly, "I knew it! The way you look at him, it is just so obvious."
"Shut up! Shut up! They will hear you!", Vanessa covers Ethan'S mouth and looks back and forth from him and the others.
"You should tell him-"
"No, what? Everything would be so complicated... Eliza went out with him-"
" A year and a half ago! She's dating Lukas now, she's happy and she's your best friend, she'd want you to be happy.", he says with a smile
"I don't know, it's a lot to think about."
"At least I know you think about it," in a teasing matter, "Better tell him, he's coming this way." Ethan pats Vanessa on her shoulder and it shifted her body to face grayson. "You guys still playing?"
"Yeah, I'll catch up," Jason said tapping Ethan on the back while he passed. "Hey Ness! You coming?"
"Yeah, i wanted to.", she said sarcastically.
"Good," Jason said, "i need a team, what do you say?"
"I was joking, I don't wanna play, i'll get all sweaty and icky and ugly and-"
"Oh shut up, you're gonna shower before the party... ", Vanessa doesn't respond, "Cool, glad you're getting out there."
Jason drags Vanessa by her arms, pulling her on to the field.
