"Ethan, how could you do that?", you yelled as you got in his face.
"Y/n!", he yelled as he tried to lightly push you back. "I SWEAR IT WAS NOTHING!"
"Dropping your keys is nothing. Leaving your door unlocked at home is nothing. But sleeping with another woman!? That is more than enough!", you yelled as you walked away.
"Can we just talk about this for a second!?", he asked, following you.
"Ethan...", you said, turning to him, in tears, "you cheating, especially after promising you wouldn't because I caught you before and-"
"I told you to forget about her!"
"How can I?! It was in our bed!"
"Y/n, please stop!", he said, trying to hold you.
"No Ethan! You screwed up! Again. And I am not staying this time!"
You walked away and he pulled you back, "Y/n! Stop walking away from me!"
"Or what?!"
Then he swung his arm back and back handed you. You fell to the floor and held your cheek. You stood back up and stared him down.
As you looked up at him, you saw his eyes water.
You began to breathe heavily. You walked out and he stood there. You cried as you walked to your car.
"Y/n!", you heard.
You turned around and saw Grayson.
"What's wrong?", he asked as he ran to you. "Why are you holding your cheek?" He took your hand away from your cheek and saw a hand print. "Did he-"
You cried even harder. He caught you in his arms and held you.
He finally lifted your face, "It's going to be alright, okay?" You nodded as he wiped your tears.
Suddenly, Ethan came down running.
"Y/n! I'm glad I caught you, please-"
Grayson pushed him to the closest wall, "Did you hit her?!", he asked as he held him up by his collar.
"Grayson, it was out of rage!"
"That doesn't mean anything! You can't use that as an excuse!"
"I'm not!"
"Guys!", you yelled. "Let's just all calm down."
Grayson let go of Ethan and set him down.
"Y/n, please understand. I didn't mean to hit you. You wouldn't let me talk or hold you-"
"How could you do this to me?", you asked. "How could you lay a hand on the girl you claim to love?"
"Baby, please.", he said, wiping his tears. "I love you. So much and-"
"Ethan, you hit me.", you said, wiping your tears.
"I swear to you, I'll-"
"Maybe we just need some time apart.", you suggested.
"No, baby."
"Ethan... This isn't always a mutual choice. And it doesn't have to be, in order for it to be official.", you said, cupping his face. He closed his eyes tight, letting his tears fall. You looked over at Grayson with a smile.
"Ill take you home.", Grayson offered.
You handed him your keys and he walked off.
"I'm sorry.", Ethan whispered to you.
"That's probably the biggest lie I've heard tonight.", you said, letting him go.
"Y/n... Please."
"Ill call you.", you said, walking away.
Grayson pulled up and you walked to him. Before entering the car, You turned back to Ethan. You saw him slowly break. You gave him a weak smile.
