I Think I'm In Love (a Dirkjake fanfic)

That morning, Jane had found Jake's cold, lifeless body on the floor.
"No..."
She checked the pulse, already knowing he was gone.
She sat with the bloody body in front of her, shortly after she called the 911. Jane had been surrounded by Jake's blood and beer bottles as she sobbed on the hard floor. For she knew she had not done anything wrong but felt the fault was hers.

A week later, the funeral had arrived. Surrounded by family, Jane had felt so alone. Dirk and Jake, to be buried beside each other with the phrase
"Forever is a long time," on Dirk's grave stone and, "but I wouldn't mind spending it by your side" on Jake's.
Heartbroken and grieving over the loss two of her closest friends, Jane was to speak. Tears in her eyes, she began.
"Their love had lasted until the very end. It was absolute that they were soul mates. These two boys made the world a better place, they lit up every room. They were meant to be. It was a tragedy they've taken their own lives but I know for sure that Jake would've just suffered without his love. And maybe, he wouldn't have gotten over Dirk's suicide.
Here, we see that, even if you believe everyone hates you and you hate yourself, that someone truly does love you. And I guess, as humans, we have the tendency to forget these after effects.. Forever, I will be traumatized by this, but I will also remember the amazing parts, the parts of their love and lives that made me smile. The ones that light up my world. And I will use those memories to stay strong.
Because these lovers shall live on.
Dirk, Jake... Goodbye my dear friends."
Placing a bouquet of roses on each of their coffins, tears streaked her tired face. After she had kissed both of their coffins, saying a final goodbye, Roxy has comforted her.

"Farewell, my Dirk and Jake..." Jane had whispered softly.
