“Hmm. What would be a good first mission to try?” I look, up on my tiptoes, at the missions on the top of the board.
“I don’t know… You’re the genius. Why don’t you figure it out?”
Spike is sour because we got our first test back today. I have been living at the DWMA for six years and technically I am a genius, so when I got my grade back I wasn’t shocked to see a hundred. Spike’s grade wasn’t as satisfactory and when he saw mine he got really pissed. He played it off like he didn’t care but he has been quiet and negative all day.
A beautiful girl walks up and slaps Spike on the arm playfully.
“Hey there, buddy. What’s up?”
“Hi. Not much. My meister and I are trying to find a mission to try find our first mission,” he tells her.
“Excuse me. But when did you start helping me find a mission. You have been sulking there for the past twenty minutes waiting for me to make a decision!”
I spin around and I know I look upset.
But instead of Spike getting surprised, he just replies calmly, “Fury, this is Ellie, my meister.”
“Hey there. I am a katana sword, and I think I have three classes with you. The name’s Fury if you didn’t catch it,” she smiles.
Her skin is a beautiful caramel color. Her eyes are a stunning green. Fury’s braid falls midway down her back and is dark brown with light highlights. She is really gorgeous…
“Hi. Ya, I think I’ve seen you in some of them. Sorry, I really get into my classes and tend not to look at my surroundings. I didn’t mean to be rude for not saying hello. I think –“
“Ellie you’re jabbering again,” Spike interrupts me.
“Oh sorry,” I look down and can feel my cheeks flush. Why do I always do this?
“It’s okay,” Fury puts a hand on my arm and smiles, “I do that kinda thing all the time. You’re the one that Dr. Stein called powerful, and you’re smart. Huh, and you’re gorgeous. I am jealous…” Now she’s just trying to be nice.
“Thank you so much! You’re-“
“So, how’s the meister- hunt going?” Spike interrupts me again.
“Well, it hasn’t real-“
I spin around to face the board again. I don’t want to listen to the conversation any more because Spike was really annoying me. Why was he being such an ass today? But then again, I like Fury. I snatch an assignment that is suggested for a beginner One- Star meister and turn back around.
“This one looks good, Spike,” I smile sweetly at him, “and Fury, I think I might know a partner for you.”
Spike’s POV
Ellie found Tristan in what felt like two seconds. He’s smiling at her adoringly and of course he looks perfectly symmetrical. Gag.
“So Tristan, you’re still looking for a partner right? I think I may have found you one! This is Fury, she’s a katana sword and is in our grade!” Ellie looks so pleased with herself, while Fury looks at Tristan. It’s obvious she likes what she sees. Tristan isn’t bad looking, but why does every single girl fall head- over- heels for him? Well, except for Ellie of course. She treats him like a brother, but I think he likes her more then a sister. Like LOVES her. So naturally, I find it hard to like him.
