"Mom?"
"I'm doing this because you need it and because I love you."
"What are you talking about? What are you doing?"
My mom walked towards the door and opened it and Ezra was standing behind it.
"I'm giving you ten minutes. I'll be downstairs."
"Ezra? What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to check on you. See how you were doing. I still care about you, Aria. I want you to know that."
"I can't do this right now."
"Do what? I don't have to take that job at Rosewood High. I can get another one."
"No, it's just too complicated. Can you please go? I need to think."
Ezra walked towards me and grabbed my hand.
"Hey, I will do anything for us. I don't care if I have to go through hell, I will be here."
I pulled away and layed down facing the other way.
"I'll be back soon. I love you, Aria."
The fact that he said that brought more tears to my eyes. I wanted to say it back but I just couldn't. I cried myself to sleep for the night.
