"Right, this is you," Brent said.

Carefully removing my shivering body off of the motorcycle which Brent painfully (against my protest) decided to bring me home on, I smiled at him.

"Goodnight Pumpkin-pie!" I yelled loudly in a sing-song voice. "Don't let the kangaroos come and take your body into a large, large, large desert so that you can't find any water and will die through starvation and dehydration." I babbled, and at final, landed a short peck on his baby-soft cheek.

I took a single step back, seeing Brent's shocked expression. His cheeks were tinged with pink, his bottom lip trapped under his teeth. To be honest, it actually kind of made him look cuter.

"Thanks, by the way," I said, breaking the uncomfortable silence.

"Thank–" His voice was husky and he cleared his throat, "–thank you for coming."

"It was... fun." I chuckled.

He laughed to himself, looking up at the sky, "Yeah."

It was quiet for a while before I finally said, "Okay, well bye I guess." I stood on the pavement, awkwardly waiting for him to reply.

"Yeah... Bye."

"... Uh–okay, see ya." I tittered, turning on my heel to get back into my house.

I heard the rev of his engine, the sound of him driving off into the distance echoing down the streets at 12 AM.

Well wasn't that an eventful day...

Walking up the crooked steps lead to my house, I pressed the white doorbell, slightly leaning on the door frame.

"Well hello there," My mother swung the door open, a cheeky grin plastered on her lips. "Give me the deets, pronto."

Did she just say what I think she said? I think she did.

I widened my eyes in horror, looking at her weirdly. Sometimes I wonder how we are even related, I mean if you couldn't tell already, we've had our differences. Plus, the intensity of her craziness in comparison to mine is way off the charts.

"Are you just gonna stand there all day?" My mother asked, raising her perfect brows that I happened to envy.

I sauntered in, up the stairs to my bedroom. "Where are you going?" I heard the faint call of my mother from downstairs.

"Don't worry Mom! I'm just gonna change!" I yelled down, knowing she was probably dying to know the... deets.

"Well, hurry up then!"

I snorted in an un-ladylike manner before making sure to pull down the curtains. Wouldn't want a certain someone disturbing me, now did I? I unzipped the back of my dress, the long material sliding down my legs already. Once the dress was off, I changed into a red tank top and loose shorts. Carefully, I hung my navy blue dress in my closet, not wanting it to be put in the reckless pile of laundry in my basket just yet.

At last, I jogged down the stairs, meeting the sight of my mother in the living room, a bright but creepy smile overtaking her lips. Cautiously, I sat down beside her, it was any moment now that she could just suddenly burst–

"C'mon! Tell me!" She shouted, her voice so high-pitched and shrill that I think my ears were about to bleed. Never have I ever heard such a piercing noise. She nodded continuously, her small hands clasped together.

"Well–" I began.

Yet she still managed to interrupt me, "Eeeeeh! Yes, go on!"

Something tells me this is gonna take a long time.

I yawned, it was now almost 2 AM. I had told my mother about the events taken place last night, excluding the whole moment of when Brent explained you know what. I had yet to take action on that, I thought.

"Gosh, that was great... I definitely ship Sary, or Bary, hmm I can't make up my mind but hashtag young love!" She exclaimed, me being quite surprised she still had enough energy to say that so loudly. Sure, I love my mom but boy can she be quite hyper.

Like seriously, what Mom says "hashtag young love"? It's pretty odd if you ask me.

"Okay mom, I think it's time to go to bed." I laughed, getting up from the couch.

"Why? What time is it?" She frowned, looking around the room to find the clock.

"It's two AM," I answered and immediately, her eyes enlarged, a gasp escaping her mouth.

She stuttered, "W-What?! Oh gosh, yup, let's go to bed. Goodnight, honey." She reached for my head, pulling it towards her before kissing my forehead.

"Goodnight," I kissed her cheek.

We both proceeded to our bedrooms and I shut the door quietly after entering mine. I yawned again for the second time tonight, rubbing my eyes. I turned around, opening my eyes, only to be met with an unwelcome presence.

Today wasn't the day...

There Ace was sitting at the edge of my bed, a sly smirk on his face. Oh, how I wanted to bash his face in at that moment. But I mean, who wouldn't? If you'd have been as naïve as I was, being fooled that he actually genuinely liked me, and then finding out he only wanted my virginity then, of course, I'd be seriously pissed off.

If he wanted to play this game, I will too, and surely I won't be the one to lose.

"Hi cutie-pie, we haven't talked for a while." He said, his voice obvious of fake sincerity, how could I not have noticed before?

I shot a smirk right back at him. "Hi Ace, no we haven't and I think it's about time we do."
