"What do you mean you 'need my help'?"

Lauren's voice quickly turned into a worried state. Camila has never called Lauren for help before, especially at three in the morning.

"Gerald and I were at his show and he's in the hospital." The words came out of her mouth feeling raw and disgusting. Camila never in her life wanted to say Gerald was in the hospital, ever.

"Fuck..Is he okay now? What happened?"

"He wa-"

"Never mind, I'll come get you first. Where are you exactly?"

"Seattle police station?" Camila turned around, facing the building she exited moments before.

"Alright. Camz, just stay there." And with that Lauren hung up, leaving Camila to wait for her company.

She didn't' want to blame Gerald, she didn't want to blame Gerald at all for anything. She had no right to, but at the same time all she could think of was Gerald grabbing a bottle of whiskey and chugging it down. He was in control of his actions, even if he did get carried away. He could have asked Camila for help, but instead he decided to drown his words in alcohol.

Gerald has never been good with words. He expresses his emotions with lyrics and vocals, nothing more and nothing less. If it wasn't for music, he would have no idea how to handle his emotions and his life would be a constant crisis. In high school, he would always skip lunch with Camila and Lauren, only to sit outside the under the school bleachers and share with them his newest written songs. It was never a shock to the girls if he called them during their class period before lunch, begging them to meet up with him so he can share his songs.

Camila sighed and threw her head back, closing her eyes tightly. The whole situation was nothing to be calm about, and in no way was Camila calm. Her best friend was in the hospital, possibly feeling more than alone since no one is there with him besides his own self.

Minutes passed and it felt like years before Lauren's car appeared in front view of Camila's vision. Walking in a fast manner, she opened the door and slipped inside, where she then buckled her seatbelt and greeted Lauren with a small hello.

"So we're going to the Seattle Hospital?" Lauren asked, raising an eyebrow at Camila.

"Yeah..Can you drive fast, please? I don't want to miss anything, especially with Gerald."

Lauren nodded, sighing a bit. "So, what did he do?"

Camila scuffed, looking over at Lauren with unbelief. "He didn't do anything, you know how he is, Lauren."

"Do I?" Lauren muttered, "Do I really?"

"Yes! You know he's our friend and you know how he gets under stress sometimes. You can't blame him for anything when nothing is his fault.

They pulled up to a red light just as Lauren was about to reply. "I don't see how his actions aren't his fault. Stop defending him when you know he did something wrong."

Camila sat up a bit straighter, eyeing Lauren. "He did nothing wrong."

"So why am I wasting my time taking you to the hospital when he don't deserve your attention?"

"Wasting your time? Lauren, if you're wasting your time then why did you agree to take me? You could've blown me off like anyone else would have if they didn't want to be interrupted at three in the morning. For crying out loud, Lauren, grow some sense!"

As the light turned green, Lauren sped off, causing Camila to jerk forward. "What's your problem with me? I did nothing to you, besides help you clean up Gerald's mess! Why are you doing this to yourself, Camila? Why? Please, tell me why you're acting as if Gerald can't take care of himself when he's clearly capable of passing out in front of over a hundred people when he's supposed to be performing for a live audience." Looking at Camila, Lauren didn't even want to begin softening up. This, this was her breaking point.
