"How many times do I have to tell you?" Lauren asked, cocking her head to the side locking eyes with Camila.

"It's just, just bothering me. Devon has no business being here, Lauren."

Rolling her eyes, Lauren scuffed. "Don't be upset that Gerald is all sick and I found a new best friend."

"Do you even know how ignorant you sound? A new best friend? Seriously? If it wasn't for you, we'd all still be best friends!"

"Blah, blah, blah, all you do is whine! Best friends this, best friends that, shut up! No one cares about us being old best friends. We all know we used to be best friends, who cares? Stop holding onto things that are in the past because you're annoying the hell out of Devon and I. Hell, probably even Gerald himself. Fucking drop it, mila."

Camila nodded and bowed her head. At times like this, she went to visit Gerald.

It's been two months since he was first admitted to the hospital and he's been making progress. His heart has been slowly reregulating into its normal size, and his mood swings have settled down.

Pulling up to the hospital made her sad, every single time she pulled it in made her sad but there was nothing she could do about it. The only good thing about going to the hospital was to see Gerald and help his mood swings dial down.

When Devon first arrived and Gerald found out, he was hysterical. He fell back into his hole she dug him, and it caused a full two weeks of sadness for him. It wasn't that she was an awful person, it's just that the break up was so impacting to him it just lead him in a downward spiral. She was his everything and there was nothing he would replace her for.

Of course, when they broke up it was hard for him and he went through many emotions. He was angry, bitter, sad, lonely, carefree, tired, happy, numb. It was odd seeing Gerald so sad, but Camila did her best to cheer him up and now he's been happy ever since.

"G, it's me!" Camila announced in a sing-song voice, entering the room with hospital cafeteria food. "Got your favorite, toxic pudding."

Sticking his tongue out, Gerald laughed and nodded at the table across from him. "Set it there, man."

"Sooo, how's it goin'? Did you end up writing some more songs over the past couple days?"

"Yeah, yeah, wrote a couple songs like this one." Happily, Gerald handed Camila his notebook and let her get a sneak peek of what he was writing.

"What's it called?"

"Think about you."

Skimming through the lines, Camila found one that struck at her the most. "It's not a big deal, but don't think I don't think about you just cause I ain't spoken about you."

Laughing nervously, Gerald scratched the back of his neck. "It's not the best."

"The voices in my head have liked to yell at me lately, I still can't believe what they've been telling me lately, sometimes I wonder if you share my sentiments."

Looking up at Gerald, Camila felt the mood change but she didn't want to become sad or question him. "I like it, a lot. Do you think you've written enough for a whole new album?"

"An..album. Camila, I left fans during the middle of a tour! The Endless Summer was supposed to still be running by now, how could I have just left my fans, in the middle of a show!"

"Hey, hey, hey, it's alright. I know your fans understand. They may be questioning and worried but they're understanding. Here, you can have my phone and log onto Twitter or Instagram and explain what's going on. Is that okay?"

Smiling, Gerald nodded. "Yeah, thanks Cam."

"Cam?"

"Yeah, like, a webcam?"

"You're such a dork, Gerald!" Camila groaned, laughing while throwing her head back.

Grabbing her phone, Gerald logged onto Instagram. "Quick selfie? Group pic? Black screen?"

"No, no, no, no, a black screen would make them think you're hacked. I say you should do a selfie or on-"

"How about with you? You wanna take a picture with me?"

"Oh, sure, yeah, I'm down."

Taking the picture, Gerald smiled once more and then began to type rapidly. After about thirty seconds, he handed back Camila's phone and sighed. "Well, I'm not doing much today, just tests."

"Yeah?"

"Really boring honestly. Hate this hospital life, man."

"I could bring you so,e frozen yogurt or something, maybe by then your tests will be done and I will unbore your life."

Nodding convinced, Gerald pointed to the drawer next to him and looked back at her. "About thirty is in there, get me some good ass yogurt or your ass is mine."

"Don't you mean 'your ass is gr-"

"Times a' wastin', Cabello!"

Laughing, Camila grabbed the money and took a final look at her best friend.

"Go, go go!" He cheered on, pumping his fists in the air.

Camila made her way to the nearest frozen yogurt shop and entered feeling happy as ever. Gerald is getting better, she's here getting yogurt for the two, he's writing music, it's all fine.

Pouring some chocolate frozen yogurt into Gerald's cup and vanilla into hers, she added sprinkles and m&m's. Walking up to the cashier, she didn't feel the need to make eye contact right away, so she grabbed spoons and napkins, along with wipes.

Glancing out the window, she noticed it was about to rain, so she grabbed lids as well so the yogurt didn't come soupy or rained on. She began to place the napkins and such in her purse, then zipped it closed.

"Your total will be $7.80." The cashiers voice was high, but not pitchy. Looking back at the cashier, she realized who she has encountered.

"Devon?!"

"Still waiting for my $7.80."

"Oh, right. Here's thirty."

"Do you want your change?" Is she idiotic?

"Of course I want my change. You chose to work here, you don't need a tip that bad."

"Here you go then."

"Thanks." Camila muttered as she grabbed her two cups and sighed, hoping nothing would spark between the two.

"You're welcome, Camila. Don't mind to stop by anytime. I know Gerald loves chocolate froyo."

For the sake of your friendship, Camila. For the sake of your friendship. "Right, thanks anyway."

Making her way back to the hospital was a complete nightmare. So many thoughts were running through Camila's head, she didn't know if she was on the verge of crashing or crying. There's no way Devon lives here, Lauren said she was just visiting her stupid cousins. There's no need to live here, she's not welcomed here. She ruined everything, she's ruining everything. Theres not a single point nor need to have this girl here no matter what!

"Hey, Gerald, got you some froyo." Camila said, putting on a smile just to see Gerald's face light up.

"Chocolate, right?"

Devon's words echoed in the back of Camila's mind, making her cringe a bit. "Your favorite!"
