Lauren and Devon have been on the phone for three hours since Lauren woke up.

Grabbing Lauren's car keys, Camila began heading out the door and making her way down into the parking lot where she began to open the car door and began driving.

She couldn't stand it. She could not stand another single day in there with Lauren chatting it up with Devon. It was almost as if Lauren was trying to make Camila angry, but at this point, she didn't care. There was no point in trying to express her feelings when she's going to be brought down by the fact Lauren is too busy on the phone with her new best friend Devon. No, she wasn't jealous or enraged, but the fact that Lauren is having some kind of new best friend is childish to Camila and there's no reason to be so immature about the situation.

After stopping at around three stop lights, Camila finally turned into the hospital parking lot and sighed heavily. She began compensating whether she should be visiting Gerald or not, but at this point he was her only outlet. Sure, she has been rude to him and has neglected seeing him, but the truth is, she doesn't know how. She doesn't know how to talk to him again and she doesn't know how to gain enough maturity to apologize for what she accused him of.

Camila opened the car door and began walking to the hospital doors, smoothly entering and telling the first doctor she saw that she was there to see Gerald.

"Hi, I'm here to see Gerald. I, uh, didn't visit for a while."

"Oh, that's okay. I'm Gerald's doctor. He's still in the room where he's been placed since day one."

"Has he had any troubles? I know I'm not his mother or anything in that category, but I'm his best friend and I just worry about him more often than I probably should which is weird because he's just my frie-"

"He's just your friend, I know. Don't worry, I understand what the relationship is between you and Gerald."

"So, has he been hurt? Had any troubles?"

"He spiked some type of heart attack which isn't exactly rare in his enlarged heart situation, which lead him into going to the O.R and having a small procedure."

"Small procedure?"

"We massaged his heart after helping die down the attack."

"You can massage a heart?"

"You'd be surprised, Camila, you can do many things as a doctor."

Camila nodded understandingly and made her way to Gerald's room. The fact he was in the Operating Room and didn't even bother to call upset her,, but it was all understandable. Why would he want to call someone and bluntly say "Hey, doctors had to massage my heart and I had a heart attack."

Entering Gerald's room was less awkward than she planned. Gerald was sitting up straight, writing in a journal. By the looks of it, Camila knew for a fact he was writing a new song.

"Gerald?"

"Camila." Gerald replied breathlessly, surprised she was in the room and frantically closing his journal.

"Writing, huh?"

Half laughing, Gerald replied. "Yeah, yeah, you know how it is. I can't stop writing, it's in my blood."

Taking a few steps closer, Camila allowed her fingers to trace the bed's sheet and tap on the journal. "Can I hear it?"

"I wrote about two, but one was just a rough draft. Uh, you wanna hear You Don't Own Me?"

"Striking title, I'm intrigued. Let me hear some of it."

Gerald let cleared his throat and nodded.

"Woah, let's go

But I'm Gerald and I can always have just what I want

She's that baddest I would love to flaunt

Take her shopping, you know Yves Saint Laurent

But nope, she ain't with it though

All because she got her own dough

Boss bossed if you don't know

She could never ever be a broke ho.

R-r-r-really though, honestly

I get bored of basic bitches

She's the baddest, straight up vicious, texting her asking her

If she's alone and if she'd sent some pictures, she said no (what)

Well goddamn, she said come over and see it for yourself

Never asking for your help, independent woman

She ain't for the shelf

No, she's the one

Smoke with her till the weed is gone

Stayin' up until we see the sun

Baddest ever, I swear she do it better than I've ever seen it done

Never borrow, she ain't ever loan

That's when she told me she ain't never ever ever ever gonna be owned."

Gerald cleared his throat once more and shrugged. "It's not good or anything, just blowing steam."

"Blowing steam? Dude, that was amazing. Is that the whole song?"

"Uh, no. I need to write another verse, maybe for like a female lead or something. I'm not sure."

"Tell you what, I can try to come up with something for you and maybe Devon can sing it for you."

"Devon?"

"Yeah, she's back in town I guess. Lauren's been calling her nonstop for a while."

"Devon, she's back?"

"I don't know for sure, but in calling reach I guess. You'd have to ask Laur-"

"She's back?"

"Did you not hear me? I don't know for sure."

"Why the hell would Lauren call her? Devon doesn't even like Lauren. She has no business calling her, especially her. Who does she think she is?"

Camila mumbled softly, saying a simple "I don't know."

Gerald flung his head back and sighed heavily, shaking his head slowly. "I can't believe she's talking to Devon. Devon for crying out loud!"

"Yeah." At this point it was clear to Gerald that Camila was growing distant with Devon being mentioned, so he laid off a bit.

"So, you wanted to add a part to my song?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Yeah, yeah! The song mentions how she's never owned, so maybe I can either make something up or just come up with something about not being owned; being more independent."

"Independent, nice." Gerald laughed.

It was nice to see Gerald laughing again, happy once more. Sometimes it didn't seem like he got enough time to be happy, but at this point there's nothing more ease setting than hearing his laugh. Sometimes it confused Camila when thinking about if Gerald missed her, especially now since all he's blabbing about is Devon.

Devon isn't even his friend. Devon is someone Gerald dropped, a long time ago. She wasn't there for him when he needed help and she's not there now. Devon was a cheater and a liar, she doesn't even deserve to say Gerald's name but that's just how Camila is interpreting it.

In all honesty, there's no other way to describe how Camila is feeling other than jealousy. She's jealous that Devon was in a relationship with Gerald, and she's jealous that Lauren is the one in contact with Devon and she's even more jealous of the fact the only thing on Gerald's mind is knowing whether Devon is back here or not.

It may not be noticeable, but Camila wanted to do something to get rid of Devon, fast.
