"Nice to know that your eyebrows are back to their normal color. Blonde doesn't really suit you." Kyle laughs and sits at the table with Cherry, Sienna, and me.
"Why are you here?" I furrow my eyebrows at him. "Aren't you supposed to be eating lunch with your football friends?" In reality I wanted to say hot football friends. What? It's true! They are all some pretty nice look eye candy when they're practicing or walking around the school in general.
"Eh," Kyle shrugs. "I do have other friends, it can get boring over at that table without a weirdo there to keep you company." Kyle winks at me. I don't think it would be too good of an idea to bring Cherry to a table surrounded by drool worthy boys. You'll probably never see her again.
"You actually have friends?" Cherry snorts at her cousin, not believing him.
"You actually have a life other than stalking my friends on the football team?" Kyle retorts.
"Touché." Cherry clicks her tongue and goes back to eating our tolerable lunch. I wouldn't say it's the greatest and I wouldn't say it's the worst either. It's directly in between.
"Are you going to eat that?" Kyle asks me and before I can answer he takes an apple off of my plate and takes a bite into it.
"Hey!" I shout at him, obviously mad. No one and I repeat no one messes with my food!
"Hay is for horses." I watch as he smirks and takes another bite out of my apple. Grumbling to myself, I pick up a french fry from my plate.
"What? You're gonna beat me with your food?" He chuckles and I shake my head. That's the most stupidest thing I've ever heard of! Why would you waste perfectly good food to throw it at an irrelevant person?!
"Puh-lease, I wouldn't waste my fries on you." I pick up a fry and eat it, proving my point to Kyle.
"Food before dudes!" Sienna raises her milk in the air while me and Cherry do the same.
"All food before dudes." I correct her and we all clank our milk cartons together and laugh.
"What a weird group." Kyle shakes his head, mumbling more to his self than to us.
"Why, thank you." I say in sincerity.
"Of course you'd take being called weird as a compliment." Kyle points out and I nod my head with him.
"True, I think of it as a compliment because it's better to be yourself than to be the same exact person as everyone else." I think over what I said for a little bit and frown. I have a hard time putting what I want to say in words, it always comes out scrambled and gibberish. They would know... "Sorry, that probably didn't make any sense." I smile sheepishly at him and look down at my tray. I shouldn't have said anything in the first place, I'll just make a fool of myself again...
"No, I totally understand what you meant." My head shoots up and I look over at Kyle surprised. I wait a couple of more seconds and see he's not gonna make a jab at me for how I try putting my words together. I give him a small smile and watch as he returns it back to me.
"Cherry, I think we're interrupting some special moment between them." Sienna interrupts the moment and looks over at Cherry.
"Same, I feel awkward sitting here and watching them." Cherry 'whispers' back to Sienna and I roll my eyes at them. Nutjobs.
In all honesty, neither of my friends can whisper of their life depended on it. When we had classes together and whenever they tried whispering to each other the teacher would instantly look over at our direction and glare at us. To which we earned our nicknames, Shouting Sienna, Loud Lavender, and Chatty Cherry. To say it was the worst class of the year is an understatement, whenever we entered our classroom the teacher would always glare at us. I swear that teacher gave me bad grades on purpose!
"I've got to go, I'll catch up with you guys later!" Kyle stands up from the table, leaving us here.
"So...you two got all googly eyes up in here." Sienna jabs me in the ribcage with her elbow while Cherry wiggles her eyebrows and I glare at the both of them.
"You guys are so annoying!" I groan out and put my head in my arms on the table.
"Ooh! What would their ship name be, Sienna?" Cherry squeals.
"Ooh! How about Lyle or Kylender!!" Sienna exclaims.
"Hmm, I was thinking more along the lines of Layle or Kynder." Cherry comments, making them both freeze, not knowing which one to choose from.
"We can't decide which one to use!" They both say in unison. Oh, brother!

"A party?" I question them both over the phone, not liking the sound of this idea. "That's not really my scene." I say into the speaker. I'm currently on the phone with Cherry and Sienna and they just brought up a topic of something about a football player (one of Kyle's friend I guess) throwing a party.
"Oh come on, it'll be fun, Lavender!" Cherry practically yells into the phone.
"Oh yes, it sounds so much fun going to a cramped and sweaty room with people grinding up against each other oh, and! The best part of the night is getting your drink roofied. You're right, it will be fun!" I say with a dangerous amount of sass into the phone.
"Please!" Cherry and Sienna whine at the same time for at least thirty seconds and I finally give in with a sigh.
"Just putting down some rules, I will not wear makeup, wear any dresses, or heels, and I will definitely not drink anything from inside of that house!" I yell into the phone, making sure they remember and what I say doesn't go in through one ear and out the other.
"Fine!" Cherry and Sienna sigh at the same time, making me roll my eyes at them.
This is going to be one long night.
