I stare at my left arm, seeing where the cheerleader sank her claws into. Well, she obviously broke the skin.
I put some rubbing alcohol on the cotton ball and dab it into my red and irritated skin, wincing as I do so. Good thing I always wear hoodies I guess.
I look at myself in the mirror, seeing a pathetic girl always hiding herself from the world. No matter what you do, people will still have something to say about you. Would a popular jock really want to ruin his reputation by dating trash? I think not. I sigh, looking down at my fingers and playing with them.
"Lavender!" The two girls bounce into my room and I quickly roll my sleeve down so they don't see the nail claws in them.
"Yeah?" I mutter weakly to them, not in the best health.
"Can we go to the park?!" They holler at me and I simply nod my head at them. Kaitlin grabs hold of my right hand and Ivory grabs onto my left, tugging on it. I bite my bottom lip to stop myself from crying out in pain. We end up going to the park without getting ran over by a car. The two girls let go of my hands, running to the juggle gym covered in children.
I sit down at a bench nearby, watching them. I grimace when I see a kid hogging the slide, picking his nose and eating his boogers. That doesn't look appetizing. I scrunch my nose up, wanting to look somewhere else so I don't blow chunks again.
"That's rude!" I hear Ivory shouting and I turn to see her pointing at a boy who looks to be around her age. I watch both of their interactions with each other in amusement. Seems like she's been forgetting about that fifth grader.
"Piggy! Piggy! Piggy!" He shouts back at her and she glares at him. Stomping all the way down the stairs, Ivory comes next to me.
"Boys are stupid." She glares at the little boy who keeps looking over here in our direction...or should I say Ivory's direction.
"Well, you aren't wrong." I laugh a little. "So, what was happening over there?" I nod my head over to the boy who's still watching Ivory.
"He called me a piggy and a pig!" She crosses her arms over her chest with a frown etched onto her face.
"Why?" I raise an eyebrow at her.
"He said because my hair was in piggy tails." She rocks her head side to side, making her pig tails move. I smile when I realize what's happening. Although, it's not the most mature way to express your feelings, it's a way nonetheless.
"Usually when boys tease you..." I trail off, not wanting to spoil this information for her. "Maybe you should become friends with him?" I suggest to her, watching her watch him watch her.
"Fine." She huffs out, frustrated. "He's just lucky that an Adeline child befriended him, I'll use that as my birthday gift for him for the rest of the years." She mutters, standing up from the bench to walk over to the little boy. There's the Ivory I know and hate.
I watch in curiosity as I see the both of them exchange some words to each other back and forth. I think I just created my first love match. Way to go, Lavender!

"Way to go, Lavender!" Ivory glares at me while I put my hands up in surrender.
"I did absolutely nothing." I shake my head at her, watching her narrows her eyes into slits, directing them to me.
"You got us kicked out of the park!" She stomps her foot on the pavement.
"How?" I raise an eyebrow at her.
"When you decided it'll be fun if you climbed all the way to the top of the slide, putting other kids into danger because they wanted to copy you!" Ivory shouts at me while I think it over for awhile. That does sound like something I'd do...
"How was I supposed to know it was wrong to put people in danger." I shrug my shoulders at Ivory and watch her shake her head at me, rubbing her temples.
"Maybe mom and dad did drop you as a child." Ivory mutters to herself.
"Rude!" I gasp at her, not taking offense to the situation at hand at all. I probably agree with Ivory. Mom and dad shouldn't drop items so easily next time.
"Oh, cry me a river." She shoots me another glare and starts stomping off, going ahead of Kaitlin and me. Someone poured their milk first instead of their cereal.
"Did you at least have a good time today, Kaitlin?" I turn my head, facing her.
"Yeah. The kids at the park was a little rough through." She rubs her forearm a little and I snort. It's like having multiple copies of Ivory.
"I mean, you're not wrong at all." I comment, starting to pick up my pace, getting tired and wanting to go home already. I groan out when I realize how far away home actually is. "We have a long walk ahead of us." I slump a little, not liking the idea of having to exercise. Why me?!
"No, really?! I never knew this, Lavender!" Ivory turns around to look at me, giving me a blank look on her face.
"I detect a bit of sarcasm there." I mutter more to myself than to Kaitlin and Ivory. However, Ivory's rat ears decide to listen to every single word that comes out of my mouth.
"Less talking and more walking!" She shouts at me and I groan out loud again. I look over and see Kaitlin give me a sympathetic look. Exercise sucks that's why. I pout at her and go back to looking ahead of me.
Aww, man!
