I got kicked hard in the shin and now my skin peeled off in that area...

In other words, it hurts and it's nasty.

Enjoy the chap!

By the time we reached our neighbor hood, I was practically drenching in sweat. Funny how it's easier going down a hill than up. I curse your existence exercise!...and maybe bananas too! The world would be totally fine without the both of you!

"Ivory!" I shout in the distance, trying to catch her attention. "Could you maybe wait for us?!" I take a pause in between every word, trying to catch my breathe. Jeez, it's so hot! My hoodie is practically clinging to my body from all the sweat it's covered in.

"No!" I manage to hear her shout back at me. I look to my right and see Kaitlin slightly ahead of me, not huffing and puffing as much as I'm doing right now. Stupid kids and their ridiculously athletic bodies! The world is so cruel and unfair to me! Let me revise that, to older people!

We manage to reach the top of the steep hill and I'm finally able to see how angry Ivory looks. I can't believe I ruined her day at the park! I sigh, putting both of my hand on top of my head, helping my lungs open up more, closing my eyes in the process. I should really apologize to her. "Ivory!" I yell out to her. "I'm sorr-" before I'm able to finish my sentence I hear the loud noise of a door closing.

I open my eyes, looking to see where that came from and realize it came from my own house. Ivory's really a fast walker... Oh well, I'll just apologize to her later. "Come on, Kaitlin. Let's get you home." I gesture my hand over to her house and she nods her head at me.

I grab onto her hand, walking towards her house. I stop walking when we reach the front of her house, not wanting to go inside ever since what happened that other day...

"I'll just let you off here." I smile at her, trying to let go of her hand while she has a death grip on it.

"Please, will you come inside, Lavender?" She gives me these puppy dog eyes and my answers starts to change automatically just looking at her. "I swear, I'll just give you a water and you can go home if you really want to!"

"F-fine! I'll come inside." I mutter weakly, knowing I lost this battle today.

"Yes!" Kaitlin cheers to herself and I look at her with my eyebrows furrowed. Huh...

We walk inside of her house and enter the kitchen. Me, not wanting Kyle to know I'm in here, stays as silent as I possibly can. I watch Kaitlin tippy toe, grabbing a cup and opening the fridge. She pulls water out of it and places the cup on the table, pouring the water inside of it.
