I realized many things in my life...I learnt how to ride a bike, how to boil water without burning the house down, and most importantly...learn how to not hit someone even though how annoying they can be.

The last part was the hardest ones of all to learn.

I was also taught that you should give people second chances...but if you wouldn't forgive someone who who killed your family, why would you forgive someone who plays with your mind and emotions.

I like to think that because there's only a certain point where you can actually forgive someone. Others, might just forgive and let go while another might forgive and not forget. Some, don't even forgive. It might not make sense to you but, it makes sense to me.

Would you be able to look in the eyes of someone who hurt you physically and emotionally and forgive their apology?

Well, you're about to find out my answer to that question...

"What if we're all sleeping right now." Cherry stated out of nowhere, making me and Sienna question if she went out with some juvenile delinquents before she came to school.

"But we're not...we're awake." I reply, seeing Sienna just looking at Cherry with her eyebrows furrowed.

"How do you know that for sure?" Cherry questions me.

"Because I'm eating this sandwich and I can feel myself swallowing it?" I say more as a question rather than a statement.

"You can taste in dreams, you're also able to feel in them too." Cherry takes a long pregnant pause. "What if we're all connected to a machine that keeps us asleep for as long as we live!"

"Kinda like sleeping beauties curse?" Sienna asks Cherry.

"Exactly!" She shouts.

"Maybe we should send her to the doctor so she can get prescription pills to take in the morning." Sienna mumbles from besides me and I nod my head vigorously at her.

"Well, I hope I make your guys brain hurt throughout the rest of school!" Cherry says cheerily as the bell rings for the start of school.

"What a little witch." Sienna narrows her eyes at the retreating figure of a Cherry skipping and hopping away, shouting 'hooray.'

Hey! That rhymed!

Sienna and I go off in our separate directions as I walk through the crowd of slow walkers. You people have long legs, use them sometimes! I groan out loud when I see how many slow walkers there are ahead of me. I go to say something when an arm comes out of nowhere, pulling me out of the crowd with a yelp escaping my lips.

I can't believe my eyes when I see who it is.

Melissa whatever her middle name or last name is.

I rub my eyes a couple of times, making sure my eyes aren't deceiving me and gape at her.

"Hi..." She mumbles, trailing off, not knowing what to say.

"What do you want?" I furrow my eyebrows at her, crossing my arms over my chest.

"I just wanted to say...this is harder to say than how I thought it would be." She releases a sigh and I watch her in curiosity. "I'm sorry." She mumbles looking at her feet. "I'm sorry for being mean to you...me and Kyle weren't even dating and I just wanted to see if you really liked him or not!" She rushes out before I have the chance to understand what she just said.

"What?!" I shriek in the loudest voice I possibly can. That's a lie but, oh well.

"Ok, ok...please don't freak out too much. Me and Kyle weren't really dating." She says again and sighs when she sees my confused facial expression. "So...Kyle was being a good friend towards me and pretended to be my boyfriend so I could make my ex jealous because I wanted him back..." she trailed off with a frown on her face.

"If you wanted your ex back...why did I see all those nasty texts you sent back and fourth with those other dudes?" I furrowed my eyebrows at her.

"Oh...you saw those?" She winces and I nod. "Those were from a while ago...I promise that I have changed."

"If you guys weren't really dating...how come you guys always made googley eyes towards each other?" I question her.

"To get my ex jealous and I think Kyle was trying to make you jealous."

"Why?"

"He wanted to see how you'd react and he got his conclusion."

"What his conclusion?" I tilt my head at her.

"That you don't like him but, Lavender. I know that you do like him."

"How do you know?"

"The way you look at him...you smile more around him and you just simply act differently. Happier. I know you don't want to talk about this right now or ever but, I know what happened to you in elementary and how you kinda shut down after that. Lavender you are a very special girl and I'm sorry for saying rude things to you, I was just so upset about my ex and found out h-h-he..." she trails off and I see tears in her eyes.

"He what? What'd he do, Melissa?" I question her.

"He got another girl pregnant..." she sighs and I see a tear trickle down her cheek. "I'm sorry I took all of my anger out on you like a bitch, I'm truly sorry Lavender, please forgive me." She pulls me into a hug and starts sobbing on my shoulder and I can't help but feel bad for her.

"I forgive you..." I say to her softly.

So you have your answer. Well, my answer. Maybe some people do deserve second chances...
