"The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round, 'round and 'round, 'round and 'round!" Ivory screeches from her seat, which is directly behind mine.
"If you don't stop your singing!" I take a long dramatic pause just for the fun of it. "I'll make sure you loose all the baby teeth that's left in your mouth!" I turn around and glare at Ivory, giving her the evil eyes.
"Oh really?" She asks smugly for some reason.
"Really." I narrow my eyes at her and cross my arms over my chest.
"Mom! Lavender's threatening me again!" She yells while I cover my ears with my hands.
I watch as my mom puts the person who she's on the phone with on mute and turns around to look at me. "Stop torturing and threatening your sister or I'll take my shoe off." She says sternly to me while I put my hands up in surrender. When mom says that, you know that's the time when you shut up and stay quiet for the rest of the day, trying to stay out of her way.
"I was only threatening her because she was screaming in my ear. Forget about going deaf because of listening to music at a loud volume, I'll loose my hearing from a damn screeching rat!" I exclaim to her.
"Watch your language and your tone with me, young lady!" She snaps at me and I slump in my seat, not wanting to have a shoe print on the side of my face for the rest of the day.
I sigh and look out the window for the rest of the drive while Ivory kicks the back of my seat like a little brat on an airplane. Ugh!

"Thank you, sir!" I watch as my dad takes his ID back from the man to get onto the base. Once he tucks it back in his pants, he starts to drive to where the man told us to. "Ok." He pulls into a parking space and parks the car. "I want you all to be on your best behavior today, no shenanigans, you hear me?" He looks at each and everyone of us, his eyes lingering on me a bit longer than everyone else.
"Yes, dad." We all say in unison. With our family, you already know somethings gonna go down or something bad gonna happen. We all pile out of the car and look at the scenery in front of us. There's allot of people scattered around, some talking, others on the rides or eating food, and others, like my aunt, playing roller derby.
We walk all the way to the tent that has all kinds of roller derby merchandise and food!
"I should have known you guys would be late, like always!" I hear a familiar voice call out and I see my aunt Elvira, standing there with all of her equipment on and her skates.
"It's so good to see you again!" My mom comments as her and her sister hug each other.
"Kids still a handful as ever, huh Dante?" I watch my aunt punch dad's shoulder in a jokingly way and see him wince while I try to stifle my laugh.
"Sure is." He rubs his shoulder where Elvira had hit it. I watch as aunt Elvira hugs everyone and stops in front of me.
"Is that the Lavender?! Gosh girl, you've grown so tall, almost as tall as me!" She pulls me into a bone crushing hug while I struggle to hug her back and breathe.
