PERCY POV
“Sadie, we can’t just waltz into Olympus!” I told her.
“Of course we can.” She walked onto a elevator that was opening, startling a man who was just climbing off.
“Well, you all! I don’t see Any Sixth-hundredth floor button!”
“Shh! Sadie!” Frank scolded, looking around to see if anyone had heard.
“Let’s see if they agree shall we?” Sadie questioned before walking out into the middle of the lobby.
“Hey you all!” Every head turned to her. “Is there a sixth-hundredth floor button or not?” Sadie got some crazy glances before turning back to me, looking sassy with a hand on her hip.
“I think they agree that the idea of a sixth-hundredth floor is absurd.”
Frank put his head in is hands, shaking his head in embarrassment.
I cocked my head, looking at her. “You should meet my friend Rachel. I think you’d both really hit it off.”
“Never mind this bloke Rachel. We have to get to the sixth-hundredth floor.” She said the last bit with sarcasm, if that wasn’t obvious to you already.
“Sadie,” Hazel piped up politely, like she was trying to calm a beast. Which, I suppose she was. “We have to ask the front desk for the sixth-hundredth floor, otherwise it doesn’t work.”
“You could have just said that.” She turned on me.
“Hey, why am I the one being blamed?”
She shrugged. “You’re just so blame-able.”
I rolled my eyes. “Okay, can we just get on with this?” Frank said, obviously not liking the time that was being wasted. I looked away from Sadie pointing to the front desk where Hazel was talking with one of the workers.
“I think she’s got this covered.”
Hazel smiled, turning and coming back to us. “Come on. The elevators ready.”
-----------------
Sadie tapped her foot impatiently beside me. “How long does this elevator ride take?”
“It’s only been about one minute, Sadie.” Hazel told her softly.
Sadie huffed and put her head back against the wall.
“We need to hurry!”
“This elevator isn’t going to go any -” I was cut off when the doors opened.
“FINALLY.” She complained trying to step out of the elevator.
“Hey.” She pressed against air. “Hey! I can’t go through!”
“Oh…right…” Demigods and gods only.
“Do we have some sort of spell or potion or something?”
“I could use a portal, but that seems like a waste to me. But if it’s necessary, then very well.”
Sadie stepped back, as a swirling mass opened up before her. Within a few seconds she appeared on the side, stumbling as the portal spit her out.
“Well. That’s done. Let us be off!” She ran off, marveling at the sights of Olympus.
Frank gave me a is-this-for-real look, and I shrugged before chasing after her with he and Hazel.
“Wow…Is this the…”
“The throne room of the gods. Let’s go see if we can find a hint as to where your gods are.” Frank said, starting up the steps. I was about to warn him about being seen when I remembered the spell Sadie had put on us.
