Dear Alarm Clock,

Sometimes, you have to try harder than you usually do just to get it right. A few rings don’t work effectively like they used to.

Shouting won’t do you any good anymore especially because a lot of people are covering their ears now a days. Instead of listening to your rings, they dismiss you or put you into silent mode.

We know that you’re important. You were made to wake us up on time so that we can do our work. We set you on a particular time because we need to be awake by then. We even set you earlier so that we won’t be late. But our mind is “programmed” to believe that we can put you off on a later date until the deadline is right in front of our face.

That explains all the hitting that you experience. It’s just so much easier to hit you than get out of bed.

But I do hope that you don’t give up on us — all of us who are deep in our slumber. Wake us up.

Wake us up using new “techniques” that I’m not quite sure of. Whatever it is, just don’t stop.

We’re all stubborn but things can only start happening when you accomplish your work.

Love,
