Sometimes Jamie could be extreme in her schemes. She knew only two things about Lynx and Lauren so far. They loved each other, and most of school was fine with them, some even cheered them on whenever they acted affectionate towards each other.
She never could have guessed how strong they truly were. And far Lynx would go to keep them together.
When Jamie saw them holding hands and being mushy she immediately knew she had to do something. Talking the other kids into hating them wasn't possible, and the same was with the teachers. She only knew one thing that Lauren had a weakness for. Others that were in trouble.
Jamie started wearing sweaters and acting sad. She even got a few friends to act along. Lauren didn't notice. She went online and tried to break Lynx. She heard Lauren telling her that it was nothing, and she didn't need to worry. She talked to their mothers, who didn't believe her and who for some reason cringed. She bullied Lynx, she even hit her a few times. Nothing worked. Jamie could only think of one other option.
Jamie told Lauren she was cutting.
Jamie would never actually do it, but she knew that if she said she was Lauren would consider breaking up with Lynx to help her.
Jamie was wrong. She didn't even get the chance to tell Lauren.
She had decided to tell Lauren over text, so she could delete it later.
Jamie- Lauren I need to tell you something.
Lauren didn't see her phone though, Lynx did. Lynx figured it would be fine if she dealt with this on her own, she didn't want Jamie and Lauren talking about anything to personal that might hurt their relationship. Lynx knew Jamie might do something like this.
Lauren- what
Lynx felt kinda bad pretending to be Lauren, but she kept it up. If Jamie wanted to be a twatwaffle, she could deal with Lynx.
Jamie- I've been cutting lately and it's your fault.
Lauren- how
Jamie- Seeing you with Lynx is too much. I want to try again. I want to try us again. Please?
Lauren- in yer dreams you little hoe
Jamie- What
Lauren- I could care less about you. Go away.
Lynx knew she needed to get rid of this as fast as she could.
Lynx deleted the whole thing. But Lynx knew she needed to do more. If she let Jamie off easy she could do much worse. Lynx spent all day coming up with a plan, and soon she was prepared for war, and to put Jamie in her place.
The next day after school Lynx had everything set up.
Lynx knew that at 5:00 Lauren walked down the hallway. She also had planned to talk to Jamie at 4:50. If her plan worked Lauren would see the worst in Jamie, and make her leave them alone. As soon as Jamie turned the corner Lynx started going off on her.
"So Lauren told me all about your little cutting incident. To bad you're too chicken to ever actually do it." Lynx snarled.
"And you're proud of it?" Jamie asked.
"No. I just know that Lauren hates when you lie about these things. I know that after she found out you were lying she started hating you." Lynx laughed.
"What's it to you? She doesn't like you either." Jamie shot back.
"She likes me enough to laugh at your messages. You should have seen her when she thought you were hurting yourself. She almost died laughing." Lynx stood taller, growing confident.
Jamie stood a bit smaller, cowering.
4:54
"You're nothing Lynx. You're a waste of space, a complete waste of air. Lauren needs to date someone attractive. She needs someone who can deal with the world and not just hide behind her."
"I hope you did hurt yourself. I've already heard how you talk about me. I know you hate me. You're a coward. You need to check yourself. Lauren doesn't care about you. She loves ME. Just stop with your stupid little plans. No one likes them. Stop pretending you matter." Lynx knew that would strike a nerve.
4:58
"You're a joke. Lauren doesn't like you she pities you." You're a joke." Jamie looked unsure despite her confident tone.
4:59
"At least people like jokes."
5:00
Lauren walked around the corner just in time to see Jamie punch Lynx square in the face.
Jamie punched harder than Lynx expected. Lynx fell against the wall and almost as soon as she fell she could feel Lauren next to her comforting her.
"What the hell Jamie? You can't do that." Lauren shouted.
"But she-" Jamie started, but Lauren cut her off.
"No she didn't do anything. Get away from her, and from me. I hate you so stop trying to hurt my girlfriend. If you ever do anything like this ever again I will make you pay the hell for it." Lauren shouted.
Lynx smiled to herself. She watched as Jamie ran off and Lauren crouch down to comfort her. Her girlfriend. It gave Lynx goosebumps to think that Lauren could love her that much. It made her inexplicably happy that Lauren would call her that.
"Let's go home." Lauren whispered, picking Lynx up and carrying her, softly kissing her as they walked.
