The ridicule they got didn't stop when Lynx's mother began to homeschool them.
Word had gotten out that Jamie had committed suicide in her room at the hospital. Everyone put the blame on Lynx and Lauren, and it was getting more and more difficult to deal with it.
Lauren's mother was getting concerned about the situation. It seemed that her daughter was getting more and more distressed each day.
But the reason Lauren was distressed wasn't because she was stressed, it was because she could see the effect all of this was having on Lynx. Lauren wanted to fix this, and she could only come up with one solution.
"Lynx, maya be it would better if we were just friends." Lauren said nervously.
"That's not funny Lauren." Lynx said.
"I wasn't joking." Lauren looked at the ground, knowing she wouldn't be able to handle Lynx's reaction.
Lynx felt tears start up in her eyes. She tried to tell Lauren no, that they would not be breaking up, but she couldn't. She didn't want to annoy Lauren. If Lauren didn't want to be together, then Lynx wouldn't hold her back.
