When they got to Lynx's house Lauren was furious about what had happened. She got Lynx into bed and slowly calmed herself down. It didn't matter that much anyway. After all, she had told Jamie to leave them alone. Maybe Jamie would find it in herself t be a good listener. Little did she know Jamie was a horrible listener.

Lauren and Lynx were completely happy for the rest of the month. In the time that the two fell even deeper in love, Jamie came up with the most effective plan she could muster. And by effective, we mean insane.

"I'm going to get rid of Lynx!" Jamie said excitedly to her uninterested friend Vennie. They were at lunch I'm a spot that no one else ever went to. A secret room you could get to by entering the library and looking in a certain spot. The room was a storage area, but as long as you kept your voice down no one could tell you were there.

"How do you plan to do that?" Vennie asked, bored with the topic already. Jamie had been talking about them for what seemed like forever. Vennie wished that Lynx would leave it alone.

"I've been talking to some people from across town, and they agreed that they would get rid of her if I let them do whatever they wanted to do with her afterwards." Jamie smiled proudly.

Vennie paused and looked up at her.

"Good joke Jamie." She laughed.

"I really did it Ven, I did talk to some people." Jamie argued.

"Like hell you did, Jamie this is serious stuff, they might kill her or even worse. I am not letting you do this Jamie, it's insane, you need to find a way to call off the deal you made." Vennie stood up from her seat.

"No. It's a perfect plan. If Lynx is gone Lauren will be all mine." Jamie laughed and walked out, smiling widely.

Vennie didn't know a lot about Jamie, but she knew when Jamie was serious about something. Vennie watched as Jamie left and called Lauren, if she couldn't stop Jamie herself she would at least give Lynx a fighting chance.

Vennie agreed to meet Lauren at a cafe, if she told Lauren face to face it might be a bit less awkward. And Lauren might take her more seriously.

Vennie stood awkwardly at the cafe, trying to decide how she was going to tell Lauren. She knew that if she didn't tell Lauren that Lynx would be in serious danger.

"So what did you need Vennie?" Lauren asked happily.

Vennie had planned to tell Lauren calmly, and very mature like. Vennie couldn't do it though. She started talking at a million miles an hour, and as she talked Lauren's face grew more and more angry.

When Vennie got done talking she looked at Lauren with intensity.

"So you're telling me that Jamie has gotten involved with hitmen, and plans to kill Lynx?" Lauren stared.

"Not kill her but, yeah something like that. I don't know if she's actually serious, but I don't want anything to happen if she is."

Lauren just looked at the floor and made a far away noise.

Vennie nodded and stood up from the table.

"You need to act fast Lauren. I can't do anything about it, and I really am worried." And with that Vennie left.

Lauren didn't know what to do so she did the only thing that seemed sensible. She called the police.

She didn't just call the police though. She told everyone of Jamie's plan, so if Lynx went missing people would help her. She also told Lynx, who was hysterical.

"What's going to happen Lauren?" Lynx asked after she had cried all the tears her eyes could produce.

"Well the police want you to move, and my mother insisted that we go with you. My mom's going to stay here though, so I'll be moving in with you." Lauren hugged Lynx closer to her. "We're going to be living in a small apartment with your mother."

"Mum works in this town Lauren, she's going to lose all her things if she can't find another job." Lynx whined.

"We found another job for her Lynx. She's taken care of. It's gonna be okay."

"What's gonna happen to Jamie?" Lynx whimpered.

"She's been taken into questioning, the police have it under control Lauren don't worry about anything except for yourself." Lauren pulled Lynx completely into her lap and hugged her closely.

"Life may be a mess right now, but soon it will be all sorted out." Lauren whispered.
