Melody

A loud sneeze slips from my lips, and I quickly snatch a napkin, bringing it to my stuffy nose. I blow as hard as I can into the napkin, and throw it in the bin that's placed next to me. I groan, throwing my head backwards against the pillows behind me.

My skin is very pale, I have a huge headache, I've got a bad cold, my voice sounds so grumpy, and my throat feels like it's on fire. That's all because I decided to go for a walk after my argument with Harry, and Mother Nature decided to hate me yesterday with the rain that poured hard on me when I was returning home.

And to make it all worse, I'm trying as hard as I can to ignore Zayn at all costs. He said he needed space, and so, I'm giving him the 'space' he needs. I really had enough this time, I'm so tired for putting up with his rude attitude, his hurtful words, and his cold hearted behavior. When he makes up his damn mind, I think he knows where to find me. He didn't text, call, nor show up here since yesterday. And I'm kind of relieved and worried at the same time.

Another sneeze escapes my mouth.

"Bless you,"

I tiredly look up from my position on the couch to find Harry rushing my way, with what seems to be, a cup of hot tea.

"Thank you." I mutter, taking the flaming hot cup from his hands.

"Bless you," Harry says after I sneeze, again.

"Being sick sucks," I groan, taking a sip from my tea. "And there's too much sugar in this, Harry."

Harry's eyes widen a bit, "I'll go make you another one—"

"No, no, it's fine." I decline, taking another sip then placing the cup on the coffee table. My head pounds heavily, and I whimper, burying the side of my head in the pillows.

I hear a few movements around me until I feel my legs being pulled up, and I creak one of my eyes open, watching Harry sitting down on the couch with me. He lets my legs rest upon his lap, while he rubs gently.

I sigh out of pure relaxation, and turn around until I'm laying on my back. I gaze at Harry with a small smile on my face, and when he catches me looking at him, he leans down to place a kiss on my forehead.

"Your skin is hot," He frowns, settling his palm against my forehead, then making his lips linger there. "You're sweating too."

"I have to check your temperature," Harry mumbles, getting off the couch hurriedly.

"Harry, noo," I whine, my body beginning to shake.

Harry doesn't listen to me though, and comes back from the kitchen with a thermometer. I shake my head stubbornly, and close my mouth tightly.

"C'mon Melody, don't be difficult and stop acting like a kid." Harry sighs, bringing the thermometer closer to my lips.

I frown, keeping my mouth closed, and glare at Harry. A small pout forms on my lips, but it breaks off with another sneeze.

Oh, for God's sake!

"Bless you," Harry smiles softly.

"Open up now,"

I sigh, opening my mouth slightly. Harry carefully places the tip of the thermometer under my tongue. I gently close my mouth, normally leaving the thermometer in place for about 1 minute.
