❝I picked my poison and it's you. . .❞MELODY
After ringing the doorbell twice, the door swings open to reveal Harry. He raises his eyebrows in acknowledgement, "You're finally here."
I mumble, smiling. "Yeah."
Harry moves to the side to let me enter the flat. I bow my head facing the ground, not meeting Harry's intimidating gaze. I go straight towards the staircase, already feeling sleepy and exhausted. I start walking up the stairs, but then I halt my movements when Harry calls my name. "Melody."
"Yes?" I sigh.
"We have a guest." Harry smiles.
I give him a questioning look while furrowing my eyebrows as he hurries to the kitchen. I roll my eyes, crossing my arms together while waiting for him and the 'guest'.
A few moments pass, then Harry comes out of the kitchen. I notice a shadow behind him indicating that it's the guest Harry's talking about. A gasp leaves my mouth when Louis appears behind Harry.
"Louis!" I exclaim, running down the few steps and hugging Louis immediately.
He hugs me tightly, and kisses my forehead.
I grin, "Where did you come from?"
Louis smiles looking at Harry, "I called Harry today to pick me up from the airport."
Oh, so that's why he wasn't home when I came back.
"That's great! I have so many incredible things to tell you!"I grin, exclaiming. "But right now, I'm tired. I'm going to sleep, see you guys in the mornin'." I wave, and turn on my heel.
"Melody." Harry stops me once again.
I turn around, now irritated. "Yeah?"
Harry clears his throat loudly and nods at Louis, "Where were you, and why were you late?"
I tense up. Shit. I can't say that I was with Zayn. But actually, it's all Harry's fault. He wasn't home when I came, so I had to stay at Zayn's until he came back. I lock my eyes with Harry's, "I was training, of course. Liam and Niall said they wanted to train me for a couple more hours, so here I am." I lie.
"Cut the bullshit, Melody." Harry suddenly snaps. "I will ask you again, where were you?" He adds, with a warning tone. "No lying."
I stammer biting my lips, "I-I told you I was dan—"
"Dammit!"
I flinch at Harry's loud tone then he turns to Louis, saying angirly, "Louis, can you tell us where was Melody?"
"Fine," Louis sighs. "She was at some random guy's house, kissing him across the street."
My jaw falls open and my eyes go wide as I look from Harry to Louis. How the hell did he find out?! And Zayn is not a 'random guy', he's. . . he's—I don't even know! I'm in deep shit.
"Last time, where were you?" Harry asks, his patience running out. It's like he wants to hear the answer from me.
"I was at Zayn's house."
Oh, and it's like hell broke loose.
"Why on earth were you there?! Why are you lying to me all the damn time, Melody?!" Harry yells, his vein almost popping out of his neck.
I say in a low and quiet voice, "You weren't home so I didn't know what to do. I stayed there until you came, it's basically your fault."
"Don't you dare blame me for this! You could've waited for me outside. And what about the kiss, huh? Do you think I want you running around kissing strangers?" Harry steps closer, all the time Louis is watching us with crossed arms, not uttering a word.
