Melody

I groan out loudly in exhaustion, rubbing at my eyes.

"It's 3 in the morning, Zayn! We really have to end this call. We've been talking for three hours!"

Alright, so you can say that I didn't actually go to sleep after I hang up three hours ago. I was very tempted to talk to him again, and I just...couldn't resist. And if I don't end the call right now, I don't think I'll be able to get up. Basically, I have to get up again in three more hours, and if Zayn and I continue on rambling, I'll never make it on time for the shoot.

I hear Zayn snickering, "You were the one who called me again, Styles."

I roll my eyes, biting my lower lip to suppress a smile. "Whatever. You just talk a lot."

Zayn fakes a gasp, "Excuse me, but I do not. Is it wrong if I want to talk to the gorgeous...girl I've came to—like?"

I burry my face deeper into the pillow, grinning like an idiot. Even though he hesitated at the end of his sentence, it's one of the most heartwarming things Zayn ever said.

I giggle, "No."

"Alright then." Zayn laughs. "So, when are you coming back?"

"Uh, I don't know. Harry hasn't decided yet." I furrow my eyebrows.

"Speaking of which, I think I saw Harry—well that's just impossible and ridiculous, because he's with you—I saw someone who looks like him. I was throwing out the garbage, and I saw the back of the guy who resembles him—it was funny." Zayn rambles on, making my heartbeat to accelerate. Closing my eyes for two seconds and gulping down, I let out a breath, thanking the God that Zayn found it 'funny' and didn't actually called his name to check if it was him.

This shit is too risky.

I laugh uneasily, "So ridiculous."

We stay silent for a few minutes, our breathing being the only sound coming from the speaker of the phone.

I can't continue on doing this, it's way too risky. But then, I can't just blow everything on Zayn so suddenly. I have to wait. I am waiting for the right time. When the right time comes, I'll definitely tell him about everything. And it should go well, or maybe it won't go so well. It might be the worst day in my life, but I won't overthink that and get myself in depressing, and fearful thoughts about the day that will expose the whole truth.

"So," Zayn sighs. "I guess you need to sleep,"

"Yeah.."

"Alright, good night, love."

A smile forms on my lips, my body getting tingly altogether again. "Good night. Love you." I quickly press the red icon before hearing any reply back from him, not that he would've replied to that. He never does. Yet.

I breathe deeply, bracing myself to call Harry for a serious, risky matter.

It rings twice, until Harry answers.

"Mel? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah Harry. I'm perfectly fine." I assure him. "I just wanted to let you know.."

"Are you sure you're fine? What's wrong? Tell me." Harry insists.

I sigh, mumbling. "Can you stay out of sight until I get back?"

"What?" He asks, dumbfounded. "I can't really hear you when you talk so lowly like that, Melody."

I groan. "I said," Gulping down, I repeat again, "Can you stay out of sight until I get back?"
