MelodyI woke up today to a small note on my nightstand, and a laced red dress on the edge of my bed, that looked way too fancy for a dinner date. The note simply said, "Can't wait for tonight, beautiful. Lou xx." It was really sweet, but if we were still dating that is. And he really didn't have to buy me that dress, I absolutely despise it when people spend money on me. I must admit though, Louis is a very attractive guy, but time flew by and I don't have feelings for him anymore. I'll just get over with tonight, and we'll see what'll happen next.
Right now, I'm sat in the kitchen with a toast in my hands, happily eating until Harry shows up. I gulp down slowly, trying not to make eye contact with him. I put down the toast on the plate, my appetite dissolving. I hope he isn't mad at me for yesterday, but then again he yelled at me. I didn't do anything wrong? Louis is nowhere to be seen though. He's probably planning the date thing.
Harry sleepily reaches for the cabin, opens it, then pulls out a bowl. After making his own cereal, he plops down across from me and starts eating his breakfast.
Harry finally breaks the silence, "How did you sleep?"
I set my spoon down and answer quietly, "Good."
"Look," He sighs. "I'm sorry for yelling at you yesterday, I was..stressed."
I ignore his apology and ask him the question that was lingering on my mind from yesterday. "Where were you?"
"It doesn't matter wh—"
"It does." I say. "Harry, you could've at least called me and told me that you're fine."
He sighs, "I know, I know. I'm sorry.."
I roll my eyes continuing to eat my breakfast peacefully. We hear sneakers padding over to the kitchen, and Louis shows up in the doorway. I give him a glance, seeing him smiling goofily at me holding a black tux with his hands. He waves then runs upstairs, I shake my head and put my plate in the sink.
"What's up with him?" Harry says, laughing lightly.
I shrug and make my way to the living room, plopping down on the couch. My mind wanders off to Zayn. I smile lightly thinking about his heart-shaped lips, and his brown eyes. My stomach crunches up, the more I think about him the more I get upset. Where is he? What is he doing? Is he alright? Is he dead? This is not normal for him, to disappear for three complete days. What if he's mad at me? I frown at the thought, maybe he's just on holiday or he has work. I stare into nothing when Harry pulls me out from my thoughts.
He calls from the kitchen, "What are you doing today?"
I sigh, "I have plans with Louis."
Harry grabs a water bottle from the fridge then walks toward me with a frown etched to his face. "I was hoping we could have a brother-sister day like we used to." He says with a pout.
I roll my eyes, remembering the times when Harry and I used to go shopping together, and when we used to sneak out of the orphanage. My heart aches a bit, and I look up at Harry again. "We're old for the siblings day, Harry."
"We're not. Remember when I used to take you to that small park across the orphanage?" Harry sits down beside me.
I smile lightly at the memory, and nod my head. Then Harry surprises me by his next question, "Promise me that we'll visit the orphanage someday?"
I frown, my eyes slowly filling with tears. I look up from my lap to stare at Harry, and I also see his eyes glistening with tears, trying so hard to hold them back. He squeezes my knee tightly, and I offer him a sad smile. "Promise."
