Melody"So, you've been dancing at a young age. Did you have any concerns back then?" The interviewer, Jasmine, asks me.
I woke up this morning at 9 a.m. and got ready then Niall and Liam took me to a studio they used to work at, and we practiced a bit then we got here with Harry. Speaking of which, Harry's still giving the cold shoulder. I asked him if it's still because of the Zayn thing, but apparently he's not mad about that. But he won't tell me either.
I smile nonetheless and answer, "Yes, I had problems here and there. It wasn't easy. My brother was with me through it all, though. So, I wasn't even alone. He was helping me a lot, he still does. If there ever was something I didn't want to do, he'd be there to help me but that has never really happened."
Jasmine smiles widely, "Is he here now?"
I nod my head and point to where Harry's standing next to Niall and Liam outside the set. Harry has a slight smile on, and he looks away shyly.
"Let him out here!" Jasmine says, and the camera man brings Harry to where we're sitting.
Harry blushes a bit and takes a seat next to me on the sofa.
"Hello," Harry smiles and clamps his hand together.
"So..?" Jasmine trails, furrows her eyebrows at him.
"Harry." I answer for him.
Jasmine smiles saying, "Harry, how's your relationship with Melody?"
He clears his throat, "It gets kinda tense sometimes. We fight, scream at each other, break each other's necks, but we always make it through and come together. She's really special to me, she means the entire world to me. I would do anything for her. She knows it." Harry places his hand on my knee.
I blink away the tears and a smile creeps on my face.
"Aw, that's sweet." Jasmine cooes. "You've been in the industry for many years, Melody. Do you think you've changed as a person?"
"I'm definitely more mature, but I don't think I've changed very much. I'm still the same weird little girl that I was and still am when I'm at home." I laugh softly.
"What about secret talents though?" Jasmine quirks an eyebrow.
"I'm a good cook! I play soccer too. The last time I was asked this question, I couldn't answer it. It doesn't come to my mind easily." I reply with a bit of enthusiasm in my voice.
"Interesting. Do you have any beauty secrets?"
I furrow my eyebrows, "I don't know, I don't really have any. I do try to keep my skin clear though. I don't wear makeup if I don't have to."
Jasmine hums looking down at her cards then looking back up, "You don't do shows now, right?"
"Not now at least. I'm still practicing with my—Niall and Liam." I wanted to say my trainers but it sounded wrong in my mind. "They're training me a lot for my first show, and they're really amazing. We're still in progress."
"How many more years do you see yourself in dancing?"
I shift closer to Harry and say, " I think I really want to let it all out, I want to maximize the time I have left. So, I'd say three more years. Maybe four. Following that, I see myself having two options. Either I have a family and a husband and maybe have my own business, or live with my brother for the rest of my life." I laugh and look at Harry to see him chuckling.
Jasmine laughs lightly then asks, "What would your dream date or man be like?"
My mind goes blank for a moment. What would he be like? Zayn. I shake that thought and answer her, "Even though I'm not the most romantic girl, I've always wanted to.. go on a real date. It's like, the guy comes, picks you up with the car..red rose in the hand, go for a romantic dinner. Chatting and holding hands, you know, like he's sitting in front of you and he just holds your hand. And then he takes you home, and in front of the door when you're playing with your keys, he kisses you. And that's..that's a dream." I smile.
Jasmine smiles at my answer, "And to sum it up, do you have any advice for young dancers that are just starting out?" She folds her cards and sets them on the table in front of her.
"When I began dancing for the first time, it was a bit easy because it's like a gift from God. But then it started not to work out because I was considered short, and I started to feel like dancing was not for me. I almost gave up. So, what I'm saying is, don't give up, even if you don't get a job straight away or if you don't make it to the auditions. Because there will always be ups and downs, and that's normal. And as long as you have someone beside you for support, you'll surely make it."
"That's definitely inspiring. Thank you for coming, Melody." Jasmine stands up, and Harry and I stand up as well.
"Thank you for havin' me!" I hug her then Harry shakes her hand.
Jasmine turns to the camera grinning, "Melody and Harry Styles everyone."
I smile one last time and then a bell sounds off, signaling that the interview is over.
Harry and I make our way toward Liam and Niall. They grin at me, and pull me into a hug.
"That was fabulous, my love!" Liam squeals.
"Indeed. You were great!" Niall continues, and I thank them.
"What are our plans now?" I ask them as we make our way out of the set.
"Well, we got a call from the agency to get back to New York and proceed the training. We don't have anything to do here. We're getting back tomorrow around 11 in the morning." Liam informs us, and I can't fight the huge grin on my face. I can finally see Zayn. I missed him so much.
Niall adds, "Also, your interview will air at 4 p.m on BBC tomorrow. Your cover for the Glamour magazine will be delivered to us some time soon."
"Alright." I nod my head, still thinking about how I'm gonna surprise Zayn tomorrow.
