Dead Or Alive

"Woohoo!"

Surprisingly it was lily and not James who shouted this; nevertheless he mirrored the same expression. Members of the order of the phoenix had entered the 'battlefield' as James put it, to help harry and his gang against the death eaters.

There were yells and spells (wow that rhymed) were shot around. Lily kept staring at harry, then occasionally glancing to the others, then back at harry. But James' attention seemed to be elsewhere.

He looked older, James thought looking at Sirius. And... Sadder.

Even through the focused expression with which he was casting spells at Bellatrix, James could see that he didn't want to do what he was doing now. He knew that even though he laughed, he was not happy..

But all this went out of his head as he saw the spell that hit Sirius. He watched, as if in slow motion, he fell through the veil in an almost graceful arch.

His face was expressionless as he looked at lily, as if confirming what this meant.

"YES!!"

"James!"

"Lily!"

She rolled her eyes. "You should be upset, you know"

"Why should I be upset? Yeah, I mean I know why, for Harry and everyone but my best friend's coming back to me, Lily!!" James was beyond excited. It was blocking any other emotion out of him; he was not even looking down anymore.

Just then, a slightly disheveled man came out of the door. He looked confused for a second, but then he looked at James and Lily.

"Prongs!"

"Padfoot!!"

Sirius ran towards James, all worries forgotten, to meet his best friend. It was clear to anyone how much they missed each other. Sirius looked at Lily and grinned.

"Ev- Potter."

Lily, too pulled him into a hug. Sirius whispered something into her ear. She laughed and slapped his back.

"I missed you.."

"Hey, hey. This is my best friend here"

"Possessive, huh James? Chill, I'm still yours."

They laughed, and for a moment the death part was forgotten. But of course, it had to come up.

"Wait, what is this place?"

So I'm back! I hope you liked this cause I finally stopped being lazy and updated the awaited chapter. Now they shall have fun in heaven too.

I have 2 questions for y'all.

#1 do you want me to give an explanation of heaven so I can put lily and James explaining this to Sirius and stuff.

#2 do you want me to introduce a random new character. It'll be fun I was just thinking.
