From outside the walls of the small prison cell, they could hear bickering. An unknown language being shouted among the grounders, Murphy laid against the hay floor. Brigid was leaning up against the wall in the corner, counting the minutes as they passed by. They had to be locked up in there for at least one full day.

"What do you think they're saying?"

Brigid didn't even bother answering Murphy's question, nor giving him her attention. She kept staring straight in front of her, tapping her fingernails against the hard ground. Murphy huffed out before moving from his horizontal position on the floor and sitting up straight, waving his hand out in front of him. She noticed the shaking of his hand and the dried blood smeared against his skin. Brigid darted her blue eyes towards him, arching an annoyed eyebrow. "What?"

Murphy chuckled, the corners of his mouth curving upwards before pursing his lips together. "Still keeping that hating me act up?"

Brigid shot forward so they were sitting across from each other and she was finally taking notice to his presence since she'd gotten there. "It's not an act, Murphy. I do hate you. You pressed a knife to my neck then made a twelve year old girl commit suicide. So I'm sorry, if I'm not particularly fond of being in your blessed company."

He cooed before pushing himself off of the ground and walking towards her. She instinctively backed away from him, but he yanked her onto her feet and pushed her against the wall by her throat. She let out a weak groan as her back slammed against the concrete and her mouth fell open, gasping for air. From outside the door, a grounder shouted at another one so Murphy clamped his hand over her mouth. Her eyes widened as she stared up at him but he slowly released his hand before pointing his finger to his lips and shushing her. The door of the prison cell opened and the grounder from yesterday walked in with a darker woman behind him. "I'll take it from here, Raiker."

The dark skinned woman spoke in their language, dismissing the blonde male who nodded his head before leaving. The short black haired woman turned around towards Murphy and Brigid, revealing the tattoo on the side of her face. Murphy stepped forward with a smirk, "Back so soon? You didn't think yesterday's beating was enough? Because I did. Do you think I could have, I don't know, a rest day. Maybe?"

"Shaf op," She spit out, grabbing Murphy's chains and yanking him forward. Murphy tripped slightly before standing up straight and jerking his head back before complying. "This will be the last time I ask you, or tonight you'll be sleeping in a ditch. What are your people planning?"

Murphy licked his lips before nodding his head, "Go to hell."

The grounder stepped forward, punching Murphy and sending him spirally onto the ground. She proceeded to kick him in the stomach until he was coughing up blood. He let out a groan and Brigid rushed forward, kneeling down beside him. "Stop it! You're killing him!"

Murphy hissed out, rolling onto his back and tightening his eyes shut, "You really shouldn't have done that."

Brigid shook her head, before standing up quickly causing the grounder to back up instinctively. She reached down to her waistband, her hand hovering over her knife. "I'll go with you; I'll tell you anything you need to know. Just stop hurting him."

She stepped forward, her dark eyes wandering the young girl's body. "You are a brave girl, the commander would like to meet you."

"I don't give a damn about your commander. He could rot in hell for all I care. I just want you to leave my people alone." Brigid growled in the woman's face. The prison cell opened, the blonde grounder from earlier - Raiker - walked into the room and bowed before the other grounder.
