Jonathan
Bella,Sean and Stephanie walked with me as we took a little stroll on Winnipeg river. I had a surprise for them,during my injury and a little time before I brought a house and redid it for them.
I had the help from Bella,Phoebe, Elina and Chaunette who helped with Danielle's likes and tastes while I only had to deal with Sean,and the backyard. The girls had control over every other room since they knew more about doing this than myself.
We got in the car and turned onto the highway.
"What are you doing Jonathan?" Stephanie asked looking around. "We're going home." I replied driving past the welcome sign.
"But it's the other way." She added. "You'll see." I smiled. She looked at me unsurely and went back to her phone. We drove for about an hour before we got home due to wild Mooses.
"Jonathan,care to explain?" Steph asked and I nodded stepping out of my car to grab Sean. "Told you I had a surprise for you." I smiled before walking up the pathway. "It's so pretty." I heard Stephanie say to Bella. "It is." Bella agreed. I unlocked the door and set Sean door to go in before us.
"Ryder!" Bella screamed running in. "Jon,you didn't have to do this." Steph said walking behind me and putting her arms around me. I did the same. "Because my family should have a home where they can come home to everyday." I smiled kissing her temple. "Wait,are you done playing?" She asked looking up at me.
"Most likely." I said and she nodded and putting her head on my chest.
"I'm gonna go upstairs!" Bella said running up the stairs. Steph laughed and went after her. Sean ran towards me with the dog and I scooped him up after closing the door. "Come on Ryder!" I said running up the stairs with both of them.
"Oh my goodness, dad it's even better than what I imagined!" Bella said walking towards me and hugging me. I set Ryder down in his doorway and he went to his toys and I hugged Bella.
"You two are sneaky." Bella smirked walking out from our bedroom. "Told ya I'm good at surprises." I smiled before issuing her head. I walked towards our bedroom and saw Ryder laying on our bed. I shook my head chuckling. My phone started to ring. I looked down and it was Patrick wanting to FaceTime.
"Hey pat!" I said as he was moving around. "Hey man, thoughtd I check up on you. Since I got a mysterious text from Victoria." he said using her full name. Stephanie came in with Sean and Bella hopped on the bed with Ryder and Steph brought Sean into the bathroom.
I walked downstairs so I could talk to him more privately.
"What'd she say?" I asked looking outside into the back yard. "How she was mistaken for an engagement, and how she can't get a hold of you. I thought I would let you know." He responded and I nodded.
"Jonathan." I heard my name being called from the stairs. "I gotta go. I'll call you later." I said before Patrick said bye.
"Ya?" I asked walking into the hallway. Stephanie gave me a joyless look and I looked in her hand to see my laptop. My heart sunk to my stomach.
"Vicki, seems nice hun." She said chucking it over the railing to my feet basically breaking it. I didn't look away from her beautiful face in in the midst of her pain.
She shook her head letting a tear roll down.
"Who is she?!" She screamed while crying. I looked away and swallowed. "Jonathan, God damnit!" She yelled walking down the stairs. She walked into the kitchen.
"Steph!" I said walking forward and trying to calm her down. "No! Jonathan, you don't get to calm me down. You don't have a right to say anything." She said letting tears trickle down her beautiful face.
"I trusted you, Bella trusted you." She said more calmly. "For what? A scheme? You wanted fame? Money?" She asked tilting her head a little.
"I hope Vicki, knows that you're still married to me. That you're so happily in love. " she said emphasizing the words, I wrote.
"I do love you, and I am happily married." I said reaching out for her. "Those messages seem to differ, seems like you're in a relationship with her, not me. The way you write poetry to her, is right out of a book." She spat. "Have fun with Vicki." She replied walking past me.
I heard Bella start crying. "No we are not staying in a hell of a house." She said making Bella cry more. "Stephanie!" I screamed running up the stairs.
She Looked at me. "I don't want you to stay here,Jon. Seems like you're gonna have to go to you're parents house." She said holding Sean.
"Don't do this." I said as she grabbed me a bag and threw clothes in my bag. Bella ran out and Sean walked after her. "If we end up like Keith, and Kelly. God be damned." She said putting other things into into it. "No. Stop." I said grabbing her hands.
"No, Jon. I've been faithful. But I guess two years of us, still didn't matter to you." She yelled stopping me. "What did she say to you?" She asked and I knew who she was talking about. "It's what I said to her." I said before she came up to me and slapped me hard. I squeezed my jaw and bit the pain.
"Get out. Now." She said calmly before walking into our bathroom. I sighed, grabbing my bag and walking out.
I looked into Bella's room and saw she was crying and holding Sean. I looked away and walked down stairs.
Ryder followed me to the doors and I took one last look and walked out.
What lies beneath the floor boards, should not be broken and dug up.
