It was late at night when the party ended, Benny ran away with Sebastian before the night was up. Who knew what for.
Everyone left when the party was over, heading their own separate ways. Kelson offered Lindsey a ride home, Scott and Tasha just wandered off and James wouldn't leave Tara to go home alone. He walked with her as she didn't have a ride home and neither did James.
"You aren't mad at me for throwing a party, are you?" James asked.
"Why would I be mad?" Tara asked.
"I threw a party for you and didn't tell you." James suggested.
"I'm not mad." Tara protested. "But that was for me?"
"Yeah," James shrugged, "it didn't feel like it, did it?" He laughed and scratched the back of his neck.
"No, I was more surprised at the Benny/Sebastian thing." Tara started laughing too.
"Wasn't everyone? Nobody expected that at all." James joked.
"How about we have a small get together tomorrow evening, just a late night, you and the band and your soulmates." Tara suggested. "But during the day I want to have a family day."
"You're opening up to your family." James noted. "That's good."
"That's all thanks to you." Tara smiled. James couldn't help but get lost in her eyes and memorize her beautiful smile.
"It's a deal. The tomorrow evening thing." James reached out his hand and shook her hand.

The next day, Tara woke up and spent her time to get ready but she didn't do makeup or her hair, she just wore her pajamas all day, too lazy to do anything.
Out of tradition, their family watched some movies that they would watch every Christmas before Tara left. Together they made Christmas dinner and ate and then they opened presents. It was a calm day and Tara would've wanted nothing more. She appreciated the quiet day of nothing to do. No rush, no arguments, no anything at all. They did talk, though, but they all appreciated the silence.
Then it was almost 7:30 PM when she got the text to go to the band's place. Tasha got the text too, and mom was going out to dinner with some friends because she was trying to relax from all the wedding planning.
Tasha and Tara walked over and found out that there was pizza, ice cream and soda. James had decided against any alcoholic beverage because he thought it best to save it for the wedding and New Year's but not Christmas.
"So you came up with this idea, what do you want to do?" James asked.
"I guess let's just act like immature teenagers and play a stupid game." Tara suggested.
"So spin the bottle?" Benny asked.
"I was thinking along the lines of truth or dare or would you rather." Tara stated next.
"I'm game!" Scott sat down with his pizza.
"Truth or dare." Tasha sat down next to Scott with her soda.
"Who wants to start?" Tara asked.
"I do!" Lindsey raised her hands from the floor.
"Go for it!" Kelson grinned at her.
"Tara, truth or dare." Lindsey asked.
"Dare," Tara stayed standing.
"I dare you to drink a concoction of smoothie that we will all contribute to except for you." Lindsey had a wicked smile spread across her face.
