It's fascinating when words can change your life. Letters create words and words are just words for lack of a better way of saying this. Henceforth, since words are just words, came the saying "sticks and stones may break my bones but words may never hurt me." That statement can be a lie, people have hurt people with words like one person throwing a dictionary at another person. Another great example is simple words such as "always" or "never" or even "don't be dead" and many many more. Although, truly, the absence of words can hurt more. Whether it's a statement or one word, it can change your life by either hurting you forever, or pleasantly happy forever.
In this case it was two words: "I do."
"You may now kiss the bride." Rang through the ears of everyone participating or present at this ceremony.
Everyone stood up and cheered. Tasha and Scott would now move on. Their mother-in-law hugged Tara and threw flowers off the floor.
Tara wished the couple a happy marriage and stalked off, nobody saw her since then for the rest of the day.
Scott asked Tasha to dance and they did. Then Tasha was sad because she never got the chance for a father/daughter dance as she watched Scott dance with her mom. That's when James stepped in, offering to dance if she wanted.
Nobody noticed Tara's absence, as stated above, as she managed to walk off without another word. The silence that occurred outside was just the medicine she needed. She walked off a couple of miles to the opening in the forest where her father would always take her. She sat down and cried.
The tears flowed unendingly although she wished they would. This would be bad for her reputation if anyone saw her like this. Nobody did. When she felt she had cried herself dry, she stood up, wiped her eyes dry and pulled up her hood and looked down, walking back into town and going home. Without a word, she entered her house, packed up everything and then headed to the airport. There was no letter left behind to tell that she was gone.
The taxi ride was long, but she had more money than anybody would've guessed, she could definitely pay. The promise was that she would stay until the wedding and she would stick with it.
Lindsey was happy with Kelson, Scott and Tasha had gotten married happily, and who truly knew about Benny and Sebastian but she wished them, especially them, the best of luck. James only had a coincidence. That he believed he was the one? He was wrong. She cut hers off with an icicle after the clock froze, she didn't know why she kept it, but it was a joke that James had had his paused at the same time.
"Excuse me, miss." The taxi driver said, "did you hear what I asked?"
"Don't tell me you're another murderer." She groaned. "What?"
"Are you okay?" He repeated, "Do you need music or the telly on?"
"I'm fine." She answered, "Radio would be fine." The taxi driver nodded before turning on a song.
Once I was seven years old, my mama told me go make your- "Can we not? Please?" Tara interrupted. He changed it again.
There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold and she's buying a stairway to heaven- "Do you have anything else?" Tara asked. He changed it again, and when it was another annoying depressing song, she told him to change it again and if it is a sad song, then turn it off. What did she know? It was another so he turned it off and looked for conversation.
"Why are you so against sad songs?" He asked unaccusingly.
"When you find out your whole life is a lie, do you want to listen to sad music?" Tara asked.
"Touché," he answered.
They sat in more silence until she reached the airport and then she paid him and took her bags in. She walked right up to the front desk, taking a ticket back to Michigan. The flight was in an hour and she had time to wait.

Benny noticed Tara's absence but didn't mention it to anyone besides Sebastian. They followed her from a distance and heard her crying. They figured they should leave her alone now so they did. Maybe she would come back later.
"We should get her chocolate." Sebastian suggested.
"Probably." Benny agreed.
"Let's get it now." Sebastian also suggested.
"Sounds good." They headed off.

The after party had just begun when James had noticed Tara's absence. He wandered around, looking for her.
"Have you seen Tara?" He would occasionally ask the guests.
She was gone. He pulled out the little box he was going to use tonight. It was blue velvet and he opened it up to a simple celtic designed ring. He could save it for another time.
