James watched as the seconds began counting down. He was so shocked, he had no idea what was occurring as he observed it happening. He walked back to the hotel in so much shock that he was numb to the world around him. Tara's mom greeted him in the hall.
"How is she?" She asked.
"You should try to ask how I am." He mumbled with wide eyes and furrowed eyebrows, staring at her as if she were a complete stranger.
"James, are you okay?" She asked him with more shock than her.
"It's counting down again." He showed her his adornment of technology on his wrist. Her eyebrows were raised as she revealed the same surprise and confusion as he.
"You need to go back, James, back to your home and find out more about this." Tara's mom was demanding. "Take the car, I'll find my own way back."
"Are you sure about this?" James asked, now concerned.
"Yes! Now go! Go!" Tara's mom declared. James rushed away before turning around.
"I need the keys." James stated. She reached for them in her pocket and then tossed them at him. He turned and ran away before turning around again. "There's also something I need to tell you."
"Then tell me." She frowned.
"You're going to want to sit down for this." He forewarned.
"She's gone isn't she?" Tara's mom asked, now forlorn. James nodded. Tears formed on her face and she quickly wiped them away.
"I knew that there just wouldn't be enough hope for her to make it." James said sadly, "and I realize that that isn't the nicest thing to say because it sounds like I looked forward to her death, but it's truly quite the opposite, I had other plans in mind." He pulled out the little velvet box and handed it to her. "I want you to keep this safe for me."
It was then that he ran out. Tara's mom admired the ring set inside as she cried realizing she had lost both her daughters, one to a man she was sure would take care of her forever, and one to a man that could be taken away from her too. Of course, no one truly knows if Death is a man or a woman or a theory or none of the listed. Would Scott be good to Tasha before Death came her way? The thought ran through Tara's mom's head as she was contemplating almost every ending she could think of, whether good or bad.

James took the car back to his home where he may or may not have rudely interrupted Lindsey and Kelson by slamming open the door and running in hysterically asking where the computer was.
"Where it always has been!" Kelson exclaimed quickly before looking at Lindsey longingly and continuing whatever was occurring, James didn't care. Well, he cared that his friend finally moved on with life but he was preoccupied.
He sat down at the computer, logging on and searching who created these bracelets. Leonidas Cutler was the one who created the soulmate-bracelet-generator. He lived in the Pitcairn Islands before disappearing to not be seen again for a long time.
